What patients say on Google

“I am writing this review with the hopes that I am able to reach the professional that was supposed to do my evaluation today and canceled on me because my vitals weren’t taken at a timely manner. Ms.Danielle Westgate, I rushed from Philly to make it to this appointment with 3 children, as a healthcare professional you have the audacity to cancel an appointment after your patient has been waiting 20 minutes in the waiting room. It was no fault of my own and unfortunately Danielle’s time is the only one that matters. She did not even have the gumption to let me know that she was canceling and would like to reschedule. Thankfully there was a very kind receptionist that did his best to help accommodate me in any way he could. I feel as though I need to remind you Ms. Danielle, your patients are the only reason you have a job to put food on your table, it would be wise of you to treat them with respect, as I am sure you would want nothing less for you or a member of your family. I’ll let God take care of you.”

“My wife goes to the friendship house for mental health, and every month she has to get a refill is a total crisis. At this moment there is one person that handles the prescriptions “when she has time”. She’s been getting given the run around for 2 weeks with no meds and very little communication leading to high stress, missed work days, and honestly just a terrible time. This is not a mental health care provider, do not go here. They are unable to staff their own practice, you can’t get ahold of anyone that will help you with anything, and they did not even have the decency to tell my wife that that had up and moved their whole practice. Judging by previous reviews these issues are common. Do better, Friendship House.”

“This Friendship house is a freakn joke. Beware !! Stay away because they don’t care at all about their patients and don’t hold your breathe for one second waiting to get a phone call from them because they don’t have the decency to ever call you back at all. They are DISGUSTING, DESPICABLE, HEARTLESS HUMAN BEINGS down there starting from doctor Asanti, the nurses, supervisors, even the ones at the desk, They have no empathy or compassion for anyone. NO ONE deserves to be treated the way they are treated from that place. DO NOT waste your time stepping one foot in that awful place !! “THIS PLACE SHOULD BE CLOSED DOWN””

“Counselors come and go. I was forced to bring my foster/grandson to them, for counselling. He saw the first one, once, and she was gone. She had seen his mother make out with him, as well as pull his butt away when she put her hand by it, after he made her angry. I really wanted to get in touch with her, later because of what she'd seen, but she was gone, and they couldn't tell me why, or give me any contact with her. His second counselor said she wasn't going anywhere anytime soon and she was sticking up for him. Then she disappeared. I think she was really getting somewhere to help the situation, too. He also saw a psychiatrist there. Luckily, she was good, and said she didn't think he needed any meds, and called the mom out when she tried to blame his behavior on him, rather than take responsibility for the trauma she caused him. Not that it did any good, though, because they set them both up with parent counseling after, and she graduated, even though she doesn't have the slightest care about being a parent to him. They helped enable her, in my opinion, and just went along with what SAMs Inc wanted, which was to reunify the child with his mother, at any cost, as long as she completed her programs. Sad. Now he's showing bad behavior in school, with her, when he was doing great in foster care, with us, and his dad is available to care for him, but they just sent him back to a home where he's experienced all kinds of injuries and neglect, as well as developed sexual behaviors. Friendship House doesn't care. They are in it for the $$$$ Also, their floors are filthy. They make you wait a long time. Tiny waiting room. They cancel appts without telling you, when you have to drive far. The mother also caused a big scene and was slamming their door really hard because I told her we had to go, after we were there 20 minutes for no appt. Then they acted like I was the problem. She should have been arrested, for her behavior and had visits revoked. They said she was doing great, though. Place is a joke.”
