How likely are you to recommend Francisco J. Torres MD Brownsville - JNC Behavioral Services?
What patients say on Google
“I would not recommend this place. I had confusion with my appointments and then waited for an hr on a telehealth call before Meagan came. When I expressed my frustration for waiting so long she told me I was too upset to continue the appointment and hung up on me. I was not validated leaving me having to find another PA to prescribe. That is not how you treat a person going through mental health issues. The staff was not Empathetic in any way.”
“Dr. Walker is amazing! She takes care of my son and finds solutions. My son has been with her for 2 years and we ain’t going no where! They give my lil Artist what he needs. The picture says it all! The staff is nice even though they are busy all day. Thank you 🤍”
“They had been provided exceptional care for my son but the last appointment went terrible. UPDATE: Last Wednesday I took my son for an evaluation because he had a crisis at school. I was very disappointed with how my son’s appointment was handled. His father attended and described an incident that occurred while our son was in his care. He focused only on our son’s dysregulated behavior but left out what happened beforehand and how his own response contributed to the escalation. I listened without interrupting so he could explain his concerns. When it was finally my turn to speak, I tried to ask how we could hold our son accountable through appropriate consequences while also preventing further escalation. Before I could finish my question, the provider heard the word “consequences” and responded, “Well, you give him consequences when he does something he shouldn’t. That’s better than going to jail.” As she said this, she stood up, shook my hand, and ended the appointment. I found this response dismissive, unprofessional, and rude. I was asking a serious and reasonable question about safely supporting a child with disabilities and significant mental-health needs. I expected thoughtful clinical guidance and an opportunity to finish speaking, not an abrupt comment about jail followed by the appointment ending.”
“I have Dr.Torres and he is great. But the person I always see is Mrs. Walker and I can’t say anything bad about her. She hears you like she really hears you. I feel very comfortable with her and the staff is great too. When I have had to move my appointments they have always understood and been very accommodating.”
