“Dr. Long has only ever been helpful in assessment and diagnosis, and have often felt like a burden when seeking continued care. I have never felt his “therapeutic advice” was helpful and is quick to recommend seeking meditation or CBD as his main answer to anything. Today I felt disrespected and unheard in expressing fears and asking for accommodations for ASD meltdowns at work due to the pandemic. To which his advice was “go to your pcp or a doc in the box and get anxiety meds, or take some CBD and deal with it like everyone else.” I wanted to walk out 20 minutes before my session was over but spent that time in tears expressing my terror to which he seemed indifferent. I WILL NOT be returning and I don’t recommend him to anyone.”

“Tonia Durand- (Yes it says Abigail however this is Heather her mother) You have been a blessing to me and Abigail, you have been the only professional that I hands down have told everything to, as well as help me as a mother to parent Abigail the way she deserves. Example: she wa talking and she said "why didn't you put your hand on my shoulder like Tonia taught us" I started laughing at the same time balling my eyes out because yes I interrupted her, she pointed it out and I put my hand on her shoulder and waited, she put her hand on mine, and I proceed to take my turn. You have helped me parent Abigail in a way that I never considered to think about, instead of the screaming and wanting to pull my hair out, I have learned to approach it differently. I admire the woman and doctor that you are. Your the only one I have ever trusted to tell everything that has happened in my life. Along with bringing Abigail and I closer together because we as a mother and daughter, will get through this together along with make our bond stronger than ever. So thank you I can't appreciate you enough and would NOT know what to do if we didn't have you in our lives.”

“I went to go see Ms. Durand and she is by far the worst therapist I have seen or heard about. She was very disrespectful to me. She also said I was in a psychosis and that she wouldn't see me until I was stabilized. She undermined my abuse from my parents and aggressively asked why I didn't report it. She was also very judgemental about that I don't want a relationship with my parents and the fact that I moved to Chattanooga. She was also judgemental about the fact I have sex with my girlfriend even though I practice it safely and responsibly.”
