How likely are you to recommend First City Mental Health Program?
What patients say on Google
“First City is like the "first city" I got my mind right. The people that come through here are amazing individuals who have a lot to offer. The staff is wonderful and they also work year round so it's really like a family foundation. They care a lot for their clientele and are willing to go above the standards to make those who care about their life meaningful. I would highly recommend this Recovery Center for all individuals who need help with mental health, drug addictions, or even detox.”
“What a wonderful place. Jeff is one of the kindest persons I have came to meet. Was in for +-100 days and road trip that was. Some good and some bad but the facility was nothing but good. Daniel and ken were really good group leaders who had great discussions and actually dived deep into what causes the problems and what’s behind the problem. A good amount of meetings to attend to for sobriety and helpful staff all around. Would recommend anyone struggling to go here, mental health or drugs/alcohol. Kokomo is an interesting city but has a gem of facility called first city. Can’t say enough about Jeff and his dog homie.-”
“First let me tell you about myself. I am 57 years old.. I have been to treatment centers that are on the higher end in Southern California . Private rooms, chefs, massage therapist, lots of freedom to do what you want. I was on my way back out to Southern California to a high-end treatment center. That would've cost me a lot of money out of my pocket. I happen to see a post that my friend Jeff put up on Facebook about first city recovery center in Kokomo Indiana. I text Jeff that night he said come on out. It's not what you're used to, but I think The staff here can help you. I wasn't sure about going to this place because I was used to all the nicer things in life. My plan was to go out in detox for 10 days and come home. Well, things changed about the fifth day I was there and had some detox issues that changed my mind to stay for a few more weeks. Best decision ever made in my life. The staff is amazing. The nurses are incredible people there really do care about you. They're kind considerate they help you with whatever they can now keep in mind. This is a Rehab you're not gonna get everything you want.. but they do their absolute best to make you feel comfortable safe and overall are concerned about your health. These amazing people treated each person the same way no one was special. Each one of them cared about each individual patient. A few days before I was getting ready to leave I got a little nervous and I was thinking about staying just a little bit longer but unfortunately I had to get back to work. this recovery center saved my life and this is no joke. I've been to multiple rehabs, and each time I walked out the doors within six hours I was drinking again. This time it was different with the help of my counselor therapist in the staff and Jeff and Jackie. I'm on the road to recovery that I never thought would happen in my life.. I do not have the desire to drink today, nor have I had a drink in 57 days which is a record for me. I've taken the simple steps that they taught me in the treatment center, and I've applied them to my life each and every day. I choose not to drink today tomorrow I have no idea what's going to happen. All I can do is pray that my life continues the way it's going now. I'm sober. I'm happy my families happy my friends are happy. That makes me happy if you're looking for a treatment center check this one out. They work with you in every way to get you well no one judges you they take your concerns. Very seriously. don't be afraid pick up the phone call them get the help you need and help me and I am an addiction survivor. I take it one day at a time. I've kept in contact with people within the center that help me get through the tough times I think each and everyone of them for helping me. I am a real patient. I'm not getting paid for this take the chance and check out for City recovery center in Kokomo Indiana. You'll be glad that you went there. Everyone have a blessed day.”
