“If you're on Medicaid and you live in Elmira, AND if you need any kind of mental health help, you won't get anywhere with Arnot Health. You're stuck with Family Services, where it's hit or miss. I like my counselor, but I know some people who aren't real happy with the place. Nevertheless as a not-for-profit, they do the best they can. Update 8/2025 Give Family Services a try. They have people who really do care about you, and it can be a lifesaver. Arnot Behavioral Health has gotten better with many added doctors. If you're on a wait list HANG IN THERE.”

The waiting area is very neat and clean. It is also very large and it is not difficult to keep your distance from other others. Thank you to all the staff for being so kind & helpful!”
