What patients say on Google

“Over the past 4 years, Dr. Duke-Sui and his practice has been superb in their ability to care for my children. They have helped us navigate very challenging circumstances. They offer family counseling in addition to medication management, which is often essential and unique to their practice. They can help beautifully complex kids and their families.”
Caroline Girardeau
“5 stars! The providers and admin team at FPPA are truly amazing! John Kwon has been a godsend to our family. He is patient, kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. The team at the front are super courteous, friendly, and supportive. Shout out to Alyssa. Sara and Darius for answering all of my pestering questions and concerns. If you are looking for a small intimate practice that truly values relationships and makes their patients feel like they are part of their family - (as the practice name suggests), then look no further - we are blessed to have found FPPA - highly recommend!”

“My son is 47yo and on the Autism spectrum. He/we have experienced Triangle area mental health services for over 30 years, including at Duke. In our extensive experience, the quality of the service providers varies greatly...Duke has been the best, FPPA among the WORST. We found FPPA marketing, eg 'we don't take insurance so that we can provide more/better service', attractive. We learned that, what this REALLY means is, FPPA seeks to BILL for as much service as possible, whether needed or not, whether appropriate or not...and prefers to do so without any scrutiny or resistance. If you question or push back on that, they will cull you out as a patient. Somehow they're schedule becomes full, even as they accept new payients!? Not to mention their consistent failures to follow up and follow through on patient supporting actions that they are responsible for. If/when you point such shortcomings out to them, you'll get a dishonest, 'legalistic' response by which they will attempt to shift blame to YOU, the customer!? IF they reply to this review, I expect you will see what I mean. Bottom line: We rate FPPA in the bottom 10% of all mental health service providers we've experienced in the Triangle area over the past 30 years, and likely the very worst as value goes.”

“This practice does a great job at creating a safe, accepting space for people with mental health needs. They succeed at offering a non-stigmatizing, non-judgmental, inclusive space for all.”
