How likely are you to recommend Family Counseling Associates?
What patients say on Google
“First, I love my therapist. But the customer service with this location is abysmal. I have had 4 conversations with 4 different people in a week about updating my insurance information. I have given the updated numbers, and have been told "we have it in there, thank you". Then someone else calls the same day or a day later asking for the number. It's a small building, are you just writing numbers on a sticky note and throwing it away? Why are you not notating client accounts with information when you receive it? I've had to cancel an appointment already because my insurance on my account isn't accurate due to no fault of my own. Please get it together for the sake of the patients. If you hate your job that much, find a new one.”
“I saw Carolann about 8-9 times before I realized how interested she was in some people in my life. She often asked about them, rather than me. The last three times I saw her, I sat in awe as she talked completely about herself for the whole hour. I called the office and canceled all of my remaining appointments and talked to the intake coordinator. My knowledge of Carolann’s life was convincing. I knew intimate details of her life that would have been very difficult to find out on my own. The intake coordinator said she would tell her supervisor. I was not offered another therapist nor given an apology. What Carolann did to me was cruel, selfish and unethical. Also charging my insurance company a lofty fee. If Carolann is still counseling people, shame on Family Counseling.”
“Tried to set up an appointment for my child via the online intake form. Received a very short voicemail saying there was nobody there that accepted my insurance that saw children. click. End of voicemail. Seems like I dodged a bullet there as that was the most unprofessional voicemail I have ever received. There was no offer of out-of- pocket expense, letting me know I could reach out if I had further questions, or offering help me in any way. In a profession that is supposed to be solely focused on HELPING others, they seemed really annoyed by the prospect.”
“The fact that I was just terminated as a client when I tried to call them but no one would answer or if I left a message they never got back to me. Worst part about this, the clinician never called or the office never called me to tell me this. WORST SERVICE FOR MENTAL HEALTH EVER!! And the worst is I chose this place is because they have an African American woman as a therapist that I was comfortable with”
