“This is such a HORRIBLE LOCATION. If they allow a transfer, I will not be coming back to this location. When I first came for my first appointment, Jennifer, the front desk lady was a complete bigot. I know that's a strong word and I would never use that but the micro-aggressions were NOT subtle and were coming in HOT while I was trying to speak to her co-worker Deliyah. I am a lesbian woman and you can clearly see that I am. Jennifer not only wouldn't look me in the eye while I was speaking to her after she would constantly interrupt Deliyah, she wouldn't leave us to having our own conversation. She kept trying to undermine Deliyah and was not helpful with anthing she added. I can't believe they let someone with that attitude towards "minorities" work there. Especially when the waiting area were Hispanics and their kids. Without Deliyah, I wouldn't have felt safe. I probably would've walked out and still written this review. I understand no one has to agree with the life I lead but I do expect professionalism and human decency. Then, I was scheduled with Janice, lovely lovely lady, I wish her all the best. She's very sweet but kept talking about her other patients with me. She wasn't giving any names but would go into detail about other clients situations and how they related to my situation. I wanted therapy to be about MY situation and what tools we could use to better them. She was kind and gave me some information to read through after I left. However, the thought of me telling her all my insecurities knowing she might be telling other patients about them, was a BIG RED FLAG for me. I want my details private not used as an example to help "calm" other patients with their current situations. There are better ways of relaying that message without giving other patients info. I understand there are a plethora of people that have given this place a positive review and I understand they might have amazing people that work there, however, those two. I am concerned about and I hope they can address it so someone that looks like me won't be treated the way I was.”
“I’m extremely disappointed with how Family Care Center Cedar Park has handled my psychiatric care. I had been seeing a PA virtually for medication management and was later informed that my appointments needed to be moved to an MD because the PA could no longer prescribe one of my medications under the applicable prescribing requirements. This was not a sudden change, and from my understanding, the restriction had been in place for quite some time. Yet patients were still being scheduled with a provider who apparently could not continue prescribing the medications they were managing. Once this became an issue, my virtual appointments with the PA had to be rescheduled with an MD. The problem is that the MD has extremely limited availability, and I was then told I needed to wait for an in-person appointment before I could receive my medication. Because of how this was handled, I have now been without a medication that was previously part of my established treatment plan. I repeatedly explained that this is an incredibly busy and important time for my family and my career, with major work deadlines that require me to be functioning at my best. The interruption in my care has already negatively affected my job and put me in a difficult position professionally. What is most frustrating is that this was preventable. Patients should not be the ones dealing with the consequences of scheduling and compliance issues within a medical practice. If a provider can no longer prescribe a patient’s medication, there should be a plan in place to transition that patient’s care without leaving them without treatment while they wait for an appointment that the practice itself does not have adequate availability to provide. Psychiatric medication management requires continuity of care. Patients rely on their providers and the practice managing those providers to make sure that continuity is protected. Instead, I have been left scrambling because of an administrative and clinical issue I had absolutely no control over. I expected much better from a psychiatric practice, especially when interruptions in medication can have very real consequences for a patient’s daily life, family responsibilities, and employment.”
“Update: After my original review, the clinic called and told me the charges would be refunded. It has now been three weeks, and the refund still hasn’t been issued. I’ve messaged through the portal, called repeatedly with no answer, and left multiple voicemails with no response. At this point, it’s clear they haven’t followed through on what they said and are not making any effort to resolve this. Original: I’m very frustrated with how my recent visits were handled. During a medication management appointment, the provider asked me additional questions, and I later discovered I was billed extra simply for answering them — something I’ve never been charged for with previous providers here or elsewhere, and something that was never disclosed beforehand. When I contacted the clinic about a refund, I was told I should have informed the provider that I didn’t want to participate in that conversation and that I should do so in the future. Over the following months, my multiple attempts to resolve this and request a refund have been ignored. This entire experience has shown a clear lack of transparency, follow‑through, and accountability. Given the poor communication and unresolved billing issues, I would not recommend this clinic.”
“This clinic is amazing. They really give you peace of mind and they take you seriously. I appreciate their support, honesty, care, and communication. They’ve truly helped me get my life back. Coming to them for help was one of my best decisions.”
