How likely are you to recommend Evergreen Counseling & Wellness?
What patients say on Google
“I have been working with Alexis for a very long time. We found her when we were looking for a therapist for my then, 8 year old. After seeing few therapists that ended up being not a good fit, we came upon Alexis and have never left. She became the therapist for all three of my children throughout their lives and then became mine. She has helped me through many changes in my life and I knew that I would always come out the other side a better person because of the treatment I received from her. Now, as the owner of Evergreen Counseling and Wellness, I trust her to choose the most dedicated employees who fit with her style and highest level of expectations.”
““In 2015, I was going through some relationship struggles and needed someone to talk to. I was a little skeptical to see a therapist, since I had some bad experiences prior. In the last 11 years, Alexis has changed my life. She has created a safe and nonjudgmental place for me to express and be myself. She is so warm and kindhearted. She finds a way to make me feel like I’m not going through it alone. In the last 11 years I have grown so much from her. She has helped me realize my self-worth. She is an amazing therapist. Highly recommend her.” - Erika K”
“If you are in need of help from experienced, empathetic, and caring professionals, I would recommend going elsewhere. As someone who has worked with some of the best trauma and grief therapists in the world such as Judy Crane and Megan Devine, I am not sure how this therapy practice is still in practice. I had planned to see a therapist there bi-weekly to complement my somatic therapy for PTSD, perinatal loss, and complex grief but was ultimately told AFTER the initial planned session that the therapist with whom I’d talked several days prior did not feel that she could work with me, after she had told me and Alexis that she could. This appeared to be the result of my request not to do a full bio psych social the week before the anniversary of the loss of my last pregnancy due to hyperemesis gravidarum, which was also a week before Mother’s Day and resulted in my inability to have children. I expected that both Alexis and the therapist, whose name I am intentionally not mentioning because I’m not sure whose ‘fault’ this breakdown in communication was, would understand this as mothers and therapists, but instead the therapist did not tell me anything. No one did. I had to call Alexis and ask what is going on after several days of waiting for a response to an email. There were other details of the story I was given that didn’t match up with my experience, it seemed that was I blamed for the hurt feelings I had about the outcome, and there was no acknowledgement of how this might be (just a little) upsetting or disappointing, especially considering the timing. I was shocked by the succession of excuses as to why the therapist didn’t call me. These women are not students of life’s own journey and don’t appear to have done an ounce of their own work. This was especially surprising because I’d chosen that specific therapist because she described herself as very authentic and direct and sounded like an empathetic and caring person on the phone. Very, very unprofessional. If you are in need of good therapy for trauma or grief, there aren’t a lot of good options out there, but this definitely is among the worst I’ve encountered based on professionalism alone. I was advised to report the therapist to the licensing bureau, but I’m still unclear on how much of the fault is hers as Alexis appears to be a micromanager.”
“Alexis has helped me tremendously over the years throughout various periods in my life. She truly cares about the well being of her clients and has a soft approach making it a welcoming environment.”
