What patients say on Google
“Hands down, the worst physician I have ever encountered. I was hospitalized for a possible stroke. Dr. Alan entered my hospital room while I was sleeping barging in without knocking announcing he was here to give me my results. His manner was brusque, condescending, impatient, and had no compassion for my well-being or the impact of a new movement disorder, which is not easy news to get. He failed to listen to other medical background I had that would have bearing on my diagnosis. He became confrontational and loud when I asked questions. When I asked him why he was so angry, he ignored the question and was even more belittling and unhelpful. This man should not work at any hospital or any other medical facility that requires interactions with patients. I believe his anger issues impact his professional capabilities and blind him to correct diagnoses. He made a difficult time far, far worse and delivered my new diagnosis in the meanest and most condescending way possible. When I complained to patient relations and nursing staff At Northwestern Medicine Hospital in Lake Forest, they informed me that this was not the first time they have had complaints about him. Why this man can go on working in this profession at this hospital is bewildering and unethical. Avoid at all costs.”
“This doctor is brilliant. My wife was hallucinating and he figured out the case was an excess of one of the meds she was on. And he came on the spur of the moment and he was very nice.”
