What patients say on Google

“I had a new patient appointment scheduled with Erin Brown today at 9:00 AM. I traveled over an hour to get to this office for the first time, driving through heavy rain, school traffic, and rush hour. Despite these delays—and the difficulty of valet parking—I arrived at 9:09 AM. I apologized for being nine minutes late, and the two receptionists at the front desk were very kind and understanding. One of them said she would let the provider know I had arrived. Moments later, a woman came out of a nearby office and said to the receptionist, “If that’s for me, I’m not taking her,” before walking away. Well that was Erin Brown, I was told. I was then informed that I would need to reschedule. At that point, I declined and stated that I would find another provider. After speaking with other patients, it seems this may be a recurring issue. I fully understand the importance of being on time for appointments; however, I arrived only nine minutes late and still had the majority of my scheduled appointment remaining. If the policy is that patients cannot be seen even one minute past their appointment time, that should be communicated clearly in advance. Based on this experience, I did not feel respected or valued as a new patient. The dismissive manner in which the situation was handled left me uncomfortable moving forward with Erin Brown as a provider. She may act one way when she actually sees patients, but she has a different tone and ignorance about patients when they are not in her office. I would not trust a person like this with my mental health. Do not go to her, especially if you value your time. If you chose to, you better on time.”

“I highly recommend Erin Brown, CRNP, my experience under her care was excellent from start to finish. What stood out was that Erin didn’t just treat my symptoms but also took the time to understand my concerns and develop a personalized plan. Erin was genuinely compassionate and thorough! Ashlyn J.”

“Erin Brown has done wonders for me. She is detail oriented, and a great listener too. She worked dillegently to get me the correct medication, which has allowed me to have a better quality of life, which seemed impossible for me to achieve. She cares, and in my opinion, she has been nothing short of brilliant.”

“first off, let me say that while i understand the concept of group therapy and its benefits in providing a sense of community, it is NOT for everyone and it should not be forced onto people because that completely defeats the point of therapy. you accomplish nothing if you don’t want to be there. i am not a group person. i am a person who can barely string a word together when put on the spot, especially not when surrounded by multiple people. my brain doesn’t work that way and that’s fine; that’s me. i also suffer from social anxiety and i don’t want to share my trauma with anybody but my therapist. due to me not wanting to do an iop or php, i was informed that i would not be allowed to go back to erin. and… that is perfectly fine with me lmao. erin’s insistence that i go or she wouldn’t take me on is based off the fact that i had an attempt nearly 20 years ago and haven’t since. i’m dealing with a lot of intense situational issues which would make anybody depressed and suicidal. i find it funny because i’ve been looking at other psychiatrists since my appointment with erin. she’s cold, for lack of a better word. irritable. when i explained that i’m really depressed, she looked at me with a smirk and said “that’s it?” - which didn’t help my “life is hopeless” mood lol. i should have walked out right then. i feel i wasn’t properly diagnosed. she says bipolar but i truly believe i have severe ptsd. furthermore, to be talked down to and have the importance of therapy explained to me by the office staff was not a good feeling. yes, i know how great therapy is. yes, i know the point is for me to figure out why i gravitate toward certain people and am having these issues, and figure out how to fix it. i’ve had therapy before. i am currently looking for a therapist. and i know why i’m the way i am - all i truly need is the coping mechanisms/unlearning part. also, i am JUST here for med management. that’s why my doctor referred me lmao. anyway, i just find it funny after reading these other reviews 😭 i am ecstatic she won’t have me as a patient. if i want to be judged and looked at with veiled disdain, i’d bother my cat . at least i’d get something out of that.”
