What patients say on Google
“I’m sharing my experience with Dr. Meehan to provide feedback and express some concerns about continuity of care. I began seeing him in October for severe depression. Over several months, I was prescribed multiple medications—including Seroquel, Sertraline, Latuda, Vraylar, and Atomoxetine—which either had limited benefit or worsened my symptoms. During this time, I did not experience sustained improvement. For context, I had previously taken Adderall before ever seeing Dr. Meehan and had positive results without any history of manic episodes. When I asked about trying it again, Dr. Meehan expressed concern about the potential risk of mania. At a follow-up visit, my spouse attended and shared that they had observed positive effects when I had taken this medication in the past, but the decision remained unchanged. The reasoning behind this was not fully explained, which left us somewhat unclear. In February, I was referred to an inpatient program due to ongoing symptoms. While there, I was started on a combination of Prozac and Adderall. Within a couple of weeks, I experienced significant improvement, including stabilization of mood, increased daily functioning, and resolution of suicidal ideation. After discharge, Dr. Meehan indicated that continuation of Adderall would require monitoring, which I agreed to. However, due to discomfort with the overall communication and approach, I decided to transition to a new provider. During this transition, I ran out of medication prior to my next appointment on May 1st. When I requested refills to bridge this gap, only my Prozac was renewed. I was informed that the Adderall would need to be addressed by my new provider. Given the recent stability I experienced on this regimen, I was concerned about the potential impact of an interruption in treatment. Overall, my experience left me feeling that communication around treatment decisions could have been clearer, particularly regarding the rationale for medication choices and continuity of care during a provider transition. Because of these concerns, I have chosen to report this experience to the Inspector General for review. My hope is that this helps support clear communication and consistent care for other patients, especially within military families.”
“Perfect doctor. Listens actually listens. Cares, listens to what you say and responds to it in a caring manner. Nonjudgmental, I can tell him horrible stuff about my life and he is always calm and compassionate.”
“Very cheerful and happy to work with you like your family, his medical practice serves a large area and he provides medication correctly and quickly. Happy to be working along side him and his family! Thank you!”
“He is great. I would recommend him and this office to anyone”
