How likely are you to recommend Elliott Counseling Group | Mattoon?
What patients say on Google
“I would not recommend this office to anyone. During my affiliation with this facility as a parent of a patient, my experience was subpar. One counselor in particular dismissed my child's warning signs and opted not to notify me of the danger they were in resulting in a suicide attempt. Once my child was discharged from an impatient facility this same counselor then notified my child that she would no longer be available to counsel them and gave my child 2 weeks notice to find another therapist. No effort was made to facilitate that transition or help in the search for finding a new provider. A month after they refused to keep helping my child a letter was sent offering such services, but at that point it was too late. Overall, the therapist my child dealt with was clearly out of her element and not up to speed on how to care for a suicidal patient. She did not seem to care about the danger that my child was in nor in helping them recover from their suicidal attempt that she was partly responsible for happening. They care more about their bottom line and own personal comfort than their patients.”
