“Very disappointed. I had very high hopes for Ellie Mental Health for my counseling needs, especially coming from a mental health background myself and being familiar with their practice. While the therapy sessions itself were fine, I have now been in a back and forth fiasco with Lyra and Ellie’s billing. I was told I was being charged a cash pay amount for only two of my sessions regardless of the other sessions being covered and even confirming with a Lyra representative my EAP plan covered all sessions. I have had to be the liaison between Lyra and Ellie’s billing department for over a month now and it has been a tremendous headache. Last I heard Ellie’s billing team stated they would follow up with Lyra on the mistake of billing me. However, I received a charge on my personal account for the cash pay for the session with absolutely no authorization, no attempt to contact. My experience with Ellie was satisfactory, but this has completely ruined my experience with this company.”
