“I had really high hopes for Ellie Mental Health. I saw my therapist twice and by the second visit I was suggested to exercise worst case scenario solutions in my situation, rather than actually being helped. My therapist also mentioned they would provide me local resources for the type of help I needed and I never received anything. This is why I had to cancel my appointments, as I felt my therapist did not follow through on a simple statement that she, herself made and also making me feel judged about my situation, stating "you don't think that is a red flag?" I also asked if there are notes from the session I could be provided or if there are notes on the portal, and I was told that they do not do that. I believe that documentation is important.”

“Two of my family members were referred to this clinic by their insurance company Ambetter. I was reassured by the clinician (and Ambetter) that this clinic was in Network and I gave my credit card to cover copays. After the second session we were informed that Ambetter had denied the claims so we had no further appointments and requested my credit card be removed from the account. Nine months later Ellie Mental Health charged my credit card for several visits despite multiple calls to Ambetter and the billing department to dispute the charges.The clinic should have obtained pre-authorization for the visits and I should not have been charged .”

Being able to feel comfortable, encouraged, and heard by your therapist is so important and I am so grateful that she has offered me nothing short of that.
