How likely are you to recommend Ellie Mental Health?
“A mental health resource Gem in VA! Beautiful offices that make you feel safe and comfortable. I appreciate the complimentary refreshments in the welcome area (all kid and allergy friendly) which a lot of places do not consider. Huge plus for me because I’m a snack person. If you’re looking for a variety of mental health services, you’ll be happy to find a mix of art, group and private therapy sessions for support of all ages; in my search this was often not offered or very limited. I mean becoming your best self doesn’t have to be linear! It also helps that you feel good in an aesthetically pleasing environment. Listen, look good, feel good! You can tell that there was care, style and thought given to the creation of this space so thank you! Call me shallow but I don’t think I could take another boxy shaped floor model couch and chair set like the one in my dentist’s office. Looking forward to my next visit and continued work.”
“It can be daunting to find a therapist. Especially with all the calls and research I do to make sure I have one that I like and can support me. This place is cute (which I love), a really nice staff, the offices are thought about and cared for, and the services I’m excited to experience. I’ll keep you posted once I have had a few sessions. But so far everyone is great!”
“Disappointed - note, never actually received care I thought of using Ellie Mental Health after experiencing an uptick in anxiety and after seeing their services mentioned at my daughter's school. First impressions: The website is very nice, scheduling through the contact form only triggers a call, which is annoying and redundant, but fine. The person who called me to schedule was very pleasant. Already, I was somewhat disappointed because as I requested medication management, I figured they would have someone available, but I suppose their providers are not licensed or whatever is required in VA. A few days after scheduling, I got an email from the doctor I was scheduled with that I needed to move time because I had been scheduled on someone else's slot. First oops, but no big deal. The provider was also listed as "art therapist," so that's pretty far from the type of care I requested, but fine, I'll give him a chance. Then, another couple days later, I got an email from him that in fact he does *not* take my insurance (I had been told during scheduling that he would) and would need to pay out of pocket. So forget that. Just keep in mind - the Alexandria location says in its answered Google questions that they take United Healthcare/Optum, but either 1) that is not true or 2) they need to clarify that not *all* of their providers do.”
“The service and staff are great! Hannah Slattery was especially compassionate and understanding!”
