Another time, Smoot made a snarky comment about my scheduling. She knew I was facing financial constraints so her comment was very crass. Spend your time and money on a professional that will LISTEN to you and work with you. Smoot offers neither of those.”

I came to her simply to continue a long-standing SSRI prescription for OCD, yet she billed me as “medically complex,” resulting in charges of over $400 for a visit that lasted 1.5 hours and felt disorganized and excessive. Her tone in follow-up emails when I reached out to get a doctors note as I experience side effects to a medication was rude and unprofessional, and I later discovered the billing classification appeared to follow that exchange — raising serious concerns about retaliation and ethics. No one from the office has able to provide any information on what “medically complex” means. I have never been labeled medically complex by any other provider, and this experience left me feeling exploited and disrespected. I would strongly caution others against seeking care from her.”
