“Disappointing experience with provider and front desk I had a very frustrating experience with James Pappas, NP, and Bree at the front desk. I contacted the office because I was having panic attacks after being instructed to stop certain medications. I specifically wanted my provider to be aware of what was happening and to clarify what I should do regarding my treatment. I also contacted the office separately because I was having difficulty paying my appointment copay and was trying to see whether a payment arrangement could be made. After speaking with Bree, I received a call from James Pappas telling me that I had reportedly given the front desk agent an attitude and said that I was running out of medication. I explained that this was not what I said. I had medication available; I was concerned because I had been instructed to stop taking it and was experiencing panic attacks. I was following the instructions I had been given and was trying to get clarification. What upset me most was that instead of allowing me to fully explain what happened, I felt repeatedly interrupted and dismissed. I also felt that the conversation focused more on what had supposedly been documented by the front desk than on my actual medication concerns. There were also comments about my voicemail not working. I had been receiving voicemails from other people that same day, so I was confused by that statement, especially because it had nothing to do with the medication concerns I was trying to discuss. I ultimately told James Pappas that I did not feel he was a good fit for me because I repeatedly felt interrupted and dismissed when trying to explain my concerns. I believe patients should be able to finish explaining their symptoms and medication concerns without feeling like they are being scolded or misunderstood. I am choosing to find another provider because I need someone who listens, allows me to finish speaking, takes my concerns seriously, and works with me on a clear treatment plan.”
“Poor experience. They have good providers but we had so much problems with front office scheduling and trying to get our benefits verified for EAP. They took more than 30 minutes to try to figure out benefits meanwhile would not see my daughter for her scheduled appointment and still wanted us to pay for the session all while having an attitude towards me. This is first office that just would not take an appointment with EAP letter. How can you have a counseling center and not know how to deal with EAP benefits? Also, when we call to cancel, they tell us that your appointment is on the same day so you can’t cancel without a fee. Then, we show up on same day and they tell us that we don’t have an appointment and that it is next day. This happened twice so think that is not by accident. At this point, I think They just care about billing and not the patient. Can’t recommend unless the correct problems with front desk.”
“I’ve had an incredible experience working with Paula King. She stands out as one of the most composed, skilled, and well-informed professionals I’ve ever come across. Her guidance is thoughtful and practical, always delivered in a way that feels clear, supportive, and easy to apply in real life. Paula is a true gem. Highly recommend.”
