What patients say on Google
“I have been a patient of Dr. Christman's for about a year and a half. I have been very pleased with the medical and psychological care I have received from him. Mental health issues can vary greatly, and each patient probably expects a different approach to treatment. As shown by the other reviews, some patients, like me, will be totally satisfied with the care we receive. Others won't get the approach they expect, so they won't likely be satisfied with the treatment they receive. It is understandable, but it is also unfortunate that it can lead to negative reviews. My former provider seemed to lose interest in my treatment, so he told me there was nothing else he could do for me. I wasn't expecting that kind of response from a physician, but I took it as an indication that it was time for me to find a different provider. That is what led me to Dr. Christman, and his level of interest in my treatment was a lot better than telling me there was nothing else to try. He satisfied my expectation, and I am glad he showed interest in finding better treatment for me.”
“i had a seizure 6 months ago while the taking anti seizure medication lamotrigine for depression. i was taking a dose of 200mg which had been prescribed to me before having dr wise as my psychiatrist, after i had the seizure i was immediately given another 200mg to take. no weaning up or anything. turns out you’re supposed to wean up/down by 25-50mg every 1-2 weeks! this rapid increase greatly increased my likelihood of developing steven’s-johnson syndrome which could have put me in the hospital, disfigured me, and possibly killed me. i didn’t know this until my new psychiatrist told me when i discussed weaning off because my seizure wasn’t related to mediations since i was already on it when it happened :) always do your research when starting medications or finding a provider because some doctors don’t think of the people behind the pills”
“I've been to many mental health facilities in my 63 years and I found Dr. Christman and his staff incredibly kind and professional. Caitlin greeted me warmly and was very patient in helping me fill out the paperwork. Dr. Christman spent over an hour asking me very detailed, intelligent questions. He knows his pharmacology and I liked him very much and look forward to returning.”
“Highly recommended. I’ve been a patient of Dr Wise for several years and she is very thorough and professional, yet personal in her approach. Therapists have been great and the staff is very quick to respond to requests and scheduling needs.”
