“Ann Marie Santos was good for the couple of years she was my therapist, but spontaneously left and I was switched to Joan Trifone. This person should really not be assigned patients dealing with grief in any capacity. When I told her my friend since middle school succumbed to suicide less than a week prior to that visit, her response was along the lines of “ohhh man!! Don’t tell me, she didn’t (kill herself) did she? I hate how young people do that!” Maybe not to that exaggerated of a degree, but certainly not sensitive to the situation AT ALL. This event in my life happened about 2 years ago now and totally shifted the trajectory of my life. To respond to such an upheaval in this way, and then go on to speculate if she “might have been bipolar,” just felt very out of touch and inappropriate. This woman was not trained to handle things in a sensitive or compassionate way. Joan, please do better. Additionally, Santos had a habit of circling any of my issues of the visit back to one root issue, which was okay, but made my appointments feel sort of useless, and she didn’t really go on to offer any tangible steps to deal with the cause. So overall, I really wouldn’t recommend this place. Go to Grow Therapy where you can filter therapists who match your concerns and will certainly find you a better match. And please, to this place, do better.”

“Been seeing Melissa for a year now and I’m feeling much better with where I am to where I was. Would recommend her to anyone! If you don’t feel like a therapist is working for you, find another. Therapy is a wonderful outlet.”

“As I began to cry and open up in the middle of my first therapy session ever, I was told I had to leave and we couldn’t continue because I was in a car accident and going through legal proceedings. Literally in the middle of me sharing and breaking down completely, I was asked to leave. I was escorted to the door while I continued to cry harder. I walked to my car crying the whole way and sat and cried more. The doctor only called to tell me that my insurance would not be billed. Not to check in. Not to say sorry or see if I was okay, only to tell me insurance wouldn’t be billed. I will never be okay after this interaction. It was proven here that no one cares. Not even professionals care about you. These doctors simply do not care and do not give help, only more destruction. Shame on this practice. Shame on these doctors who took oaths to help people. I will never be the same from this and I know now that therapy is a scam, much like everything else on this planet.”
