“I was diagnosed with a serious illness in 2018. My life, family and career was turning upside down. Last year the Veteran Administration recognized my condition as service related. Over the years, coping with treatment, fear, anxiety, and constant uncertainty has been emotionally overwhelming at times. VA recommended that I seek support for my mental health, and in May 2025, I began sessions with Dr. Sarah Baxley. At first, it was difficult for me to open up and be forthcoming. From the very beginning, Dr. Baxley created a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment that made it easier to share honestly. She has consistently been attentive, empathetic, and insightful, asking thoughtful questions that have helped me better understand my emotions and patterns of thinking. During my C&P (Compensation and Pension) examination, the VA psychiatrist conducting the evaluation commented that they had rarely seen such detailed and thorough supporting documentation as what Dr. Baxley provided. That level of care and dedication truly speaks to her professionalism and commitment to her patients. I continue to see Dr. Baxley consistently, (monthly) and with support I am coping in much healthier ways. Her counseling has made a meaningful difference in both my emotional well-being and my overall quality of life. I am deeply grateful for her guidance and genuine dedication.
