What patients say on Google
“Re: Most unfriendly Dr. reviewer: Dr. B is the most qualified psychiatrist you may ever meet. His expertise in my experience was his knowledge of medications, which ones combined best together & how to target precise issues. He gave me his personal cell number so that if I had a question or felt something was off, we could address it right then & not in a week or so when you can get an appointment. I only called him once on his cell phone in the 4 years I saw him & I was just really feeling “off”. He recommended that I take extra of one of my medications for a few days & get back to him. I did what he suggested & a few days later I was doing fine. I was never in as good a place physically, mentally & emotionally as I was when I was his patient. Not only did he prescribe medication but he taught me life skills to handle the issues I was dealing with. He truly listened & always offered excellent solutions to things I was struggling with, so much so that I never showed up to an appointment without a list of things I needed help with & a pen to write down all his recommendations. He wasn’t just knowledgeable in medications but was wise in life. I have NEVER had as excellent & caring psychiatrist as I did with Dr. B. He also referred me for a sleep study where I found out I had sleep apnea. He looks at you as a whole person, not just certain areas as most psychiatrists may do. As you get to know him you realize that his “desk side” manner is different than most. He may come off differently but as you get to know each other, you realize this is just his way. You begin to see what an important key he will become for your mental health wellness. Your first impression may be what the previous reviewer alluded to but go & discover the best you may ever be emotionally & mentally. Thank you Dr. B. I am eternally grateful for all you did to help me. If it were ever possible, I would always be under his care. No doctor prior or since has held a candle to what he did for me. I hope the reader, potential patient, can find the kind of success & support that I found.”
“I cannot begin to praise, not only Dr. Buongiorno, but also his assistant Sheila. From the moment I called his office, in desperation for my child, to the first day of seeing us, Dr. B and Sheila have been professional, helpful and kind. They have both followed up with everything they said they would do and have gone above and beyond to assist us. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.”
“Good Luck with this guy.... someone with deep anger issues should not be in this kind of profession. The most unfriendly person I have encountered in a long time.”
