What patients say on Google
“Dr Mahajan helped work with me to find safe and healthy alternatives to benzodiazepine-dependence and self-medication. She was attentive, listened carefully, and paid attention to my concerns. She was open to discussion about the best course of action. She was not quick to prescribe, but offered constructive planning. If you just want a doctor to give you benzos, this is not the right doctor for you, but if you really want to get better in the long-term, Dr Mahajan is great.”
“The receptionist at this office is a bit of a monster. My wife has had to call due to issues with her prescription and every time the lady is short and very rude to her. Today she had threatened my wife with security when she asked if it would be better if she came up to the office with her medication to resolve an issue she was having. Didn't threaten or rage out, just asked if it was better. Told my wife that she shouldn't be calling up there and this isn't the first instance from this lady. As far as the doctor goes, she has a major issue with keeping up with my wife prescriptions. My wife happened to have out of state trips planned after her last two appointments that were needed to refill her medication. Both times they either had to be postponed or canceled because the doctor will tell her that she will refill the prescription right away and will not bother sending it in whatsoever. My wife will have to go a bit without her medication as both times the doctor was not in the office. This last time they were able to get ahold of her to call them in but it wasn't the case the last time where my wife started to exhibit withdrawal symptoms as it is a controlled substance. This last appointment my wife was suppose to have refills enough for three months until she has her next appointment in three months. When we picked up the prescription after it was finally called in it only had 24 day supply and no refills. When my wife had called today she had mentioned it to the rude front desk lady. She told my wife that her supervisor would call (not the doctor) and speak to her about the issue. No call was ever made and now we're into the weekend. Granted we have three weeks to figure out what's going on, but with the treatment from this facility that doesn't mean they will be cooperating or providing any information. This is a facility for mental health with people with depression, anxiety, PTSD and so much more however these people are monsters with how they treat people that are already going through a lot. They also treat every visit like it's a first time appointment as they never review any notes prior or during the appointment. It has to be explained every time. No sympathy, no assurances, no kindness. If this was a regular customer service job they would be fired. It's a pity that they have such an important role in people's lives for support (which they fail to give) and medications in many cases (which they fail to appropriately handle). I understand this job is good money but it should be reserved for people who have an interest in helping people and the ability to care. Update: After trying to get ahold of the office over a couple of weeks due to their medicine mess up, the doctor instructed the nurse to instruct the receptionist (wow..) to call my wife and tell her it's the plan they agreed to. The plan they agreed to was to continue her medication as it's been.. the plan the doctor decided they agreed on is to give her some meds and have her quit benzos cold turkey. The only reason she is still on benzos is because every time one of them messed with her dosage, she ended up in the hospital. Pulling ANYBODY off of benzos cold turkey is incredibly dangerous. We also looked into her going to another doctor.. except these people refuse to send over records. When an office called directly up there they blatantly told the office they don't need records, my wife isn't switching anywhere else. This place is royally messed up.”
