What patients say on Google
“Very pleased with my therapist. As I have issues with light sensitivity, the room was made more comfortable for me. She tailored her mode of therapy to me. Speaking with her is enjoyable. Certainly not like the last therapist ( not Berge Associates) who dropped me in the middle of trauma therapy. He’d decided he wasn’t accepting my insurance anymore.”
“Jolene was EASILY the worst and MOST rude and difficult person to speak to today. HIGHLY incompetent and had an attitude to schedule my appointment. I'm new here and a former therapist MYSELF and I wouldn't wish her on my worst nightmare. I feel sooooooo sorry for anybody trying to schedule or interact with her. Hopefully, my therapist will be a better fit because first impressions of Jolene makes me so discouraged and worrisome for my future care.”
“So I had a very bad experience with Dr Mary Berge and Associates. For context, I was having problems with my job as an accountant. Some of the problems I was having were struggling to recall things, focusing, time blindness, slow processing speeds, and missing important details in my work. After doing a bunch of research, the problems I was dealing with were consistent with ADHD symptoms. So I ended up seeing a psychiatrist, who prompted me to get a neuropsych evaluation (her office doesn't give neuropsych evaluations). That's when I came across Dr Mary Berge and Associates. I was able to schedule an evaluation on 12/13/2023. My goal was to be diagnosed with ADHD before my busy season at work starting January 4th, where I could request accommodations, and prescribed medication. I had a doctorate intern reside over the evaluation, where I was able to explain my symptoms, history, background, etc., and then took all the tests. I felt it went well, the doctorate intern was very nice, and I was in and out after 2 hours. She then informed me that the results would take 3 weeks, maybe 4 due to the holidays. I was bummed since I'd have to wait a little after busy season started to get the diagnosis, but I understood it would take that long. But on January 3rd, I was put on a performance improvement plan at my job, stating I have til March 5th to show improvement or I get fired. This obviously scared me and was hoping to get the diagnosis as soon as possible so I could get medicated and try to have some type of improvement with medication. I ended up calling the office on January 13th, a month from my evaluation to get the status of my results of the evaluation, where the receptionist told me, it'll be 2 more weeks. So that hurt a lot as I continued to struggle with work, even more than I ever did with the stress of busy season and the added stress of the improvement plan looming over me. I continued to call multiple times where each time the date got pushed back even more. By mid-February, I kind of just accepted that I won't be able to show any improvement by the time the plan's deadline was, and just hoping that I could get diagnosed and medicated so I won't have the same problems for the next job I get. I finally was able to receive my results on February 24th, 10 weeks after being told it would take 3-4 weeks. When I got the results and had the call discussing the results of the evaluation, I was shocked to see I wasn't diagnosed with ADHD, but with Bipolar II disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. I was super confused because in all the research and what I did about my symptoms, bipolar disorder wasn't even an option. I'm not someone who wants to diagnose myself, and she's supposed to be the expert, so I just accepted that I have bipolar disorder and generalized anxiety disorder. So then I had my meeting with my psychiatrist going over the results, where I explained I was super confused with it, and she told me she was just as confused as I was. She told me she's never seen an evaluation like that before, and it seemed like it was incomplete. She was explaining to me that the results of the tests I took from the evaluation weren't consistent with the diagnosis. Like the entire diagnosis was based off of one screening questionnaire, which she said you can't to that off of a screening test. So she rejected the diagnosis I was given and informed me to go get another psych evaluation. All in all, I was very disappointed in how all of this went down. I waited 10 weeks just to get misdiagnosed, and ultimately fired from my job as I write this review. Its extremely frustrating I had to go through all of this. So I hope whoever reads this review to be cautious of this place and for Dr Mary Berge and Associates to just do better.”
“Got ghosted by our couples counselor, Have called and emailed repeatedly over the last 2 years to set up with a new one since our old one is no longer there. In 2 years they have made no effort to provide one. None. Clearly they don't care about their clients. An individual counselor also left, with notice, and they still made no effort to provide with another one in the same time frame. Waiting 2 years for a counselor while they hire new ones over and over and advertise they are accepting new patients. Sketchy. Continuity of care? Compassion? Ethics? Guess not.”
