What patients say on Google
“I strongly advise anyone to avoid this clinic. During my time as a patient, I experienced serious emotional abuse and sexual harassment, including clear violations of professional ethics and personal boundaries by all staff members, and false diagnosis. I needed to have breast surgery because of a medication I was given, and I repeatedly asked both the psychologist and the psychiatrist to change it from the beginning. They also prescribed me a medication that caused severe compulsions. They were fully aware of the consequences but insisted I had to continue taking it. What happened to me should never occur in any place that claims to offer mental health care. Instead of healing, I left deeply hurt, confused, and silenced. I have since learned that I was not the only patient affected. There appears to be a pattern of unethical, manipulative, and abusive behavior at this clinic. To make matters worse, they have refused to provide me with a copy of my own medical records, which is my legal right as a patient. If you value your dignity and well-being, please be extremely cautious before seeking help at this clinic.”
“I'm surprised at all the negative comments about this place, but I guess you get a mixed bag in this field. Perspectives can be wildly different depending on the situation. I went for the first time yesterday to a parent/child session with Dr. David. I was the child (37) and my father (61) came with. My first impressions were skeptical. Dr. David came across as quiet and soft spoken. As the session progressed, I appreciated the pointed questions and redirects he asserted. I've dealt with lots of counselors over the years and could tell halfway through that this guy knew his stuff. He was considerate of time, and was honest. When I say honest, I mean he was honest to the point of knowing he would lose business. At the end of our time, he was direct with our situation. I was impressed at how much he had assessed in such a short time. I truly appreciated his experienced input and would go back to him in a heartbeat. The gentleman stands firm in truth. All that to say, I've read a lot of the negative comments and while I know people feel as if they've been slighted, a lot of people will come wanting validation/coddling rather than truth. They will not receive that here. I respect that immensely.”
“Lisa took me own when my Chattanooga doctor retired. She manages my meds... and let's me make changes depending on how I'm doing. They seem used to disorganized patients and schedule me every 3 monthes... cause I would screw it up. Between my poor cell service and my phone technology skills... my every 3 month call puts me in a panic. By the time I talk to her I'm just happy I didn't screw up the call. Did councilling with her husband twice. When I was feeling terrible over my kid being diagnosed like me. I need talk about my feelings more.”
“Terrible! No compassion, no empathy, Dr. Lisa Stevens' exact words to me were that I was trying to "convince" her to take certain medications when I tried explaining my needs, as someone who has trialed multiple medications for the last 20 years. I was at the worst time in my life emotionally and was kicked while I was down by someone I pay a lot of money to for usually 3-5 minutes of her time via a very brief and pointless phone call. Her receptionist is cold, emotionless and rude when you call to ask questions. Her husband is a lethargic, outdated therapist, just like she is. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS PLACE! GO ELSEWHERE, TRUST ME!”
