“I also think Dr Montes is a good psychiatrist but his office staff leaves a lot to be desired. I am having the same issue with them not accepting my insurance after he left Mather’s clinic. I asked repeatedly last year what I owed and was told nothing only to find out 8 months later that my insurance doesn’t cover him. The girl who handles the insurance has been extremely impolite. When I asked if the dr would call me back she told me I had to tell her what I wanted to talk to him about. I stated it was private and she basically told me that he won’t call me back. It’s been a frustrating unnecessary and unacceptable experience.”

“Dr.Montes is very easy to talk to and very compassionate and understanding. He listens to my concerns and lets me know a plan of action to follow. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a psychiatrist. I will say his front desk staff is not the friendlist to talk to, esp if you’re a new client, just seem like they don’t want to help and lack compassion or that you’re bothering them when you have questions. I work as a receptionist and I treat everyone with the same enthusiasm and respect by being friendly and assertive to clients needs. I would say overall I recommend Dr. montes but his front desk staff could be a little nicer esp to people going through hard times, after all we are reaching out for mental health.”

“Stay away for this office! Dr. Montes seems like a decent doctor and seems to listen well. However, his office and staff have been extremely difficult to deal with and even rude at times. They are also not diligent with updating their insurance records and have left me on the hook to pay out of pocket because they dont accept my new plan. This wasnt figured out until 4 months after I switched. Ultimately, they're just not the same since they left Mathers.”

“My wife, on crutches with no ease of access to the building, was ridiculed and turned away after arriving 2 minutes late. She inquired about the late policy and was answered with asking her to lower her voice and that there were obviously more problems than that facility can provide testing for when it came to her 12 year old. The most traumatic aspect of visiting this mental health assessment facility for help was needing a mental health assessment after visiting the staff of the facility due to their rude and abrupt nature.”
