How likely are you to recommend Dr. Jason M. Jian, MD?
What patients say on Google
“Been seeing Dr. Jian since 2022. Has me on all the correct medications to date, and has always been a great doctor in general. I wasn't looking for a therapist or psychologist to "talk" to. In general I'm a very private person. I knew my diagnoses. I just needed a new psychiatrist that was willing to work with me after mine retired. Nothing but good experiences here.”
“Great Dr! Always very responsive to emails about medication and appointments. He is very knowledgeable about pretty much any problem you’re experiencing. I have been going to Dr. Jian for years and I would recommend him to anyone seeking help.”
“dr jian has not returned texts nor phone messages. i have notified him both ways that i would not be his patient any longer. he still notified me by text that i have an upcoming zoom appointment. twice i have gone without medications. the pharmacy informed me that they had notified him of the need for refills on june 12, 16, and 22 with no response.”
“I am sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision. When I initially contacted Dr. Jian, I specifically asked if he could help me with ADD management. He confirmed that he could. At the time, I was already under the care of a primary care physician for ADD, but the non-stimulant medication I was prescribed was not effective. My physician advised that I consult with a psychiatrist for stimulant evaluation, after which they would continue managing my care. I paid $230 for the initial visit and $130 for a follow-up visit. During care, Dr. Jian prescribed a stimulant medication that multiple pharmacies confirmed has been on long-term backorder and is currently unavailable. When I raised this concern and requested either an alternative medication or a different pharmacy, I was told this would require an additional $50 fee, despite the fact that the prescribed medication could not be filled. I was then instructed to personally call pharmacies on behalf of his office to ask what stimulants they had in stock. When I did so, the pharmacy refused to provide information, stating they could not disclose controlled substance availability to someone calling from a private line. This placed me in an uncomfortable and inappropriate position as a patient and raised concerns about how this interaction could affect my pharmacy profile. When I expressed concern and requested a resolution, no alternative treatment plan was offered. I was denied a refund and spoken to in a dismissive and unprofessional manner. As someone genuinely seeking mental health support, this experience increased my anxiety rather than helping it. Medication management for controlled substances should not involve patients acting on behalf of a provider or paying repeated fees simply to correct an unfillable prescription. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this practice.”
