“The doctor did a good job explaining each step of my EMG as he performed it, which I appreciated because I was very anxious about the procedure. However, I was disappointed that my husband was not allowed to accompany me. He is my main support person and helps keep me calm during medical procedures. After the test, I asked if the doctor could explain the results to my husband as well. Although he did speak with him, the interaction felt very rushed and somewhat dismissive. He briefly spoke to him in the waiting room without really taking the time to have a conversation or allow for questions. I would have appreciated a little more warmth and compassion, especially after a stressful procedure. Overall, the medical care was good, but the patient and family experience could have been more supportive.”

“This was my third visit in this office. Typically a wait to be seen. This time I was asked to arrive by 10am for my 10:15am appointment with Dr Schecht. He came into my room between 11-11:05. His style is academic and objective. More subjectivity would be helpful. While my circumstance is not grievous as likely others have that need his expertise, I have to admit I left frustrated.”
