What patients say on Google

“My experience with A Ray of Hope and Dr. Vijayta G. Bansal-Kapuria “Dr. Bansal” was disturbing and ultimately forced me to seek care elsewhere. Dr. Bansal FAILED me as a provider and did not take the responsibility of being a partner in my healthcare. Over period of two years, I experienced excessive appointment delays and they became a pattern. On July 7, 2025, I logged into a 4pm telehealth appointment and was not seen until 5:30pm, a 90-minute delay despite me reaching out several times to the medical assistant, Diana, to if the doctor will ever see me or offer to reschedule. This was not an isolated event. Wait times often to see the doctor exceeded 60–90 minutes which occurred repeatedly, with zero communication, zero meaningful updates, and zero option to reschedule, (as they charge you the co-pay prior to appointment.) I get it, sometimes physicians get behind, but have the decency and courtesy to inform your future patients who are always punctual to expect delays. After long wait times, when the doctor did grace me with her presence, visits were typically brief (around 15 minutes or less) and felt rushed. There was limited opportunity for meaningful discussion, collaborative treatment planning, or thorough follow-up. I felt I wasn’t worth the doctor’s time. The little care I got felt primarily medication-focused, with minimal engagement beyond that. The most concerning issue occurred when I requested my medical records back in October 2025 to transition care. This practice withheld my records from me. Despite multiple follow-ups, calls to the office, etc., my records were not provided for months until Feb 2026, 4 months later. My patient portal access was restricted, limiting my ability to access my own information. This significantly disrupted my continuity of care and left me without timely support. Patients deserve professionalism, timely communication, and prompt access to their medical records. Based on my experience, I’ve lost all confidence and do NOT recommend A Ray of Hope, Dr. Bansal, or anyone that is associated with this practice.”

“🚩🚩🚩I honestly don’t even know where to begin. When I first met Dr. Geeta Bansal, I truly thought I found someone who cared. But as time went on, every single “quick 15-minute” check-in turned into me sitting in the lobby forever, watching my appointment time drift 20… 30… sometimes 40 minutes past. I typically always have to take off work just to sit and wait. When I finally asked about switching to telehealth to make things easier, I was told with an attitude by staff she “doesn’t do telehealth”. In 2025, what doctor refuses telehealth now? It honestly felt like this practice is stuck decades behind and completely indifferent to how disruptive that is to people’s lives. The worst part? The total lack of respect for patients’ time. It made me feel like an afterthought, not a valued patient. I ended up switching psychiatrists, someone who actually values their patients and runs a modern practice. No one should feel this dismissed or disregarded. Just really disappointing and I wouldn’t refer her to anyone. Believe all the 1-star reviews regarding the staff attitude and running late. 🚩🚩”

“Dr. Bansal is the best doctor I have ever had! She truly made me feel heard as she allowed me to speak on my concerns and gave me help that is actually working. You can truly tell that she cares for her patients and loves what she is doing. You can see the passion as she works through with her patients. Her and her staff are so lovely and remember little things about their patients. I cannot recommend her enough she is amazing!”

“The doctors are good, but the billing department is terrible!!! I have been trying to reach them for two weeks and I am told by the staff that they will call me right back, but they don't! They keep texting my 90 year old mom her bill and upsetting her. They are supposed to email the bill to me. The worst part is that her insurance covers everything, so I don't know why they keep texting her the bill before the insurance is billed.”
