What patients say on Google

“I have been seeing Amy coming up on 4 years now and she has helped me in so many ways! I've spent a long time trying to find the perfect therapist for me and she is it! She is so kind, and straight forward but gentle. I absolutely love her!”
Lizzie Hickey
“I have been seeing Amy for many years, when you find a therapist that you fit with you just keep her. I am thankful for her guidance, patience and flexibility. I am thankful I found her and love our time together.”
Sandi Ferreira
“I have never had such a horrible interaction, especially during a first visit with any mental health professional. First, she cannot stick to her script. Questions for the patient turn into personal tangents about how special she is to be one of the "100,000" psychologists with doctorates! Honestly big deal. As a prior behavioral teacher who worked with many quacks, she screams personal bias. For reference, my mom has stage IV lung cancer and recently lost all of her hair- just to give context about how absolutely sensitive I am currently and how desperately I wanted help with processing everything. When I got to talking about my husband and I wanting a baby here are some of the following things she said: Why would you add chaos to your life and take away the time from, I hate to say it, your mom dying. When I said I was on medication for depression, she told me I should detox if I want to get pregnant because it could effect the baby. When I told her that's not the case, she said to "read my research". As a teacher, all I did was read research and I did the same prior to considering pregnancy. Some other examples of her insane discourse- women can get off antidepressants and "have a beautiful pregnancy from hormones coursing through them"- UM what??? She also claimed that getting pregnant right now could pass grief to "the fetus". As if I'd be the first woman to navigate becoming a mom with a sick family member. Lots of comments about why would I do that to my husband, how I seem to have a great marriage, like a ton of insanely wild claims for speaking to me for 45 minutes. When I called her out for saying those things, she really had nothing to say and did not even attempt to explain herself. Then she stared at me condescendingly for the last few minutes while I waited for an apology. I told her I was sorry for wasting her time. She is lucky I do not report her to the board for this session today. I'm still considering it because she is not a good person.”

“She is absolutely horrible and unprofessional. So many ways to explain how she should not be working with anyone who is seeking help for themselves but not worth the time to type. She was completely insensitive and relayed her personal beliefs in every session. Also claimed “Religion mucks up therapy. They do not mix” when she found out the patient was Catholic.”
