He enjoys explaining complicated problems. He is articulate and provides his understanding in terms that make sense. He loves to talk, and he is an astute listener. He knows a great deal about brain chemistry, and how to influence it. Personally, I had an adverse reaction to a drug he prescribed. He explained what happened and made changes immediately. He stays abreast of constantly changing options in today’s world. I trust Dr. Gonzalez. I know how much his knowledge has helped me. My journey continues and I am achieving a return to wellness, even as I age, thanks to him.”

“We are extremely displeased with this practice. He absolutely NEVER runs on time. We’ve sat in the waiting room for hours to be seen. We also strongly suspect he’s changing doses on meds just to get more appointments in and billed. He did not listen to my partner whatsoever and changed their dose without them even realizing it. Making them come back in a month instead of longer. This was after months of being stable on the dose of medication and not expressing any ill side effects. He also ONLY uses paper scripts. This has caused a lot of grief for us because not only are we looked at as suspicious in the pharmacy, it takes extra steps to validate and creates another barrier. The final nail in the coffin is he requires urine testing at his practice for “compliance”. This is not a requirement in the state of Pennsylvania. It seems like he’s figuring out extra reasons to bill patients for things that they don’t need. Save yourself the trouble and go basically anywhere else.”

“Dr Gonzalez was great diagnosing me accurately after seeing a number of psychiatrists. HOWEVER. The wait time to see him was unacceptable. I saw him for over two years and every month I’d be in his office for sometimes two+ hours because of his incredibly poor time management. 15 minute appointments would be more like 30 or 40… He also I feel would try to impose his political beliefs, etc which made me very uncomfortable. The last straw was him filling a medication wrong, to which I had to miss three doses and go thru horrible withdrawals. And no one seemed to care… He didn’t quickly fill the med and his office staff was extremely unsympathetic about it. In the long run, it’s good that this happened because I took the initiative to find an EXCELLENT psychiatrist. So glad I left Dr Gonzalez. Relief!”
