What patients say on Google
“I took my son to see Miss Lakebra Scott. I really liked her a lot. She was attentive and seemed to really care about what was going on with my son. She suggested that we see another local Dr. for an evaluation. She also suggested gene testing. We saw the Dr and had the evaluation done 2 weeks ago. He sent me a copy of his results, and sent her the results as well. Since his original appt with her (3+ weeks ago), I have not heard a single word from anyone. No discussion about the results, no update on the gene testing... nothing. Over the last week, either my wife or I have left 4 voicemails asking for updates... crickets... I finally heard back from Linda, the phone nurse, today. She was polite. I told her what was going on. She said she would speak to Miss Scott and call me back. That was at 10:58am today. It is now 5:27pm and I never heard anything back from anyone. Right here at a 3 day weekend. When your kid is completely unable to eat, function or even go to school due to the problems he has, that's a crisis. During times of crisis, we depend on professionals to guide us and I felt that at the start, but the ball was dropped somewhere. I'm not really even upset. I'm more sad than anything and I hope that this is a rare occurance.”
“I don’t usually leave reviews but my god, this is ridiculous. Trying to get in contact with anyone on the phone at this practice is a nightmare. I’ve been trying for a week now. I’ve hit every extension and called at different hours and nothing. To have a “full mailbox” or dead end extension is ridiculous when you’re dealing with people’s health. The portal is not working and I just needed to ask a question, but instead I am frustrated and appalled at how difficult this practice makes communication. I’m out of ways to contact y'all, I moved away and I just need to know how to forward my stuff. I’m about to just start over from scratch because I can’t keeping waiting.”
“Dr. Temeka Buggs showed dangerous clinical negligence during my visit. I spent three hours thoroughly filling out a comprehensive medical intake form detailing my complex health history, including POTS, hEDS, and existing medication-induced liver damage. Dr. Buggs completely disregarded this information. I was there specifically to seek treatment for medication-resistant anxiety and discuss Spravato. Instead, she prescribed me Lithium and Risperdal. Prescribing Lithium to someone with my specific health profile is incredibly high-risk. Lithium severely impacts fluid and electrolyte balance, which can cause dangerous cardiovascular decompensation and tachycardia for a POTS patient. Furthermore, its side effects mirror my baseline chronic illness symptoms, meaning I would not be able to differentiate a standard flare-up from life-threatening acute toxicity. Despite the high-risk nature of these drugs and my existing liver damage, I was given zero baseline lab orders, zero safety warnings, and was dismissively told, "I will see you in 3 weeks." As an autistic individual, I rely on my advocates and other medical professionals, who have since confirmed that taking these medications could have caused irreversible damage to my brain and body. Luckily, my pharmacy was out of stock so the prescriptions were never filled. I was treated as just another insurance premium to bill. I strongly urge people, especially those with complex medical histories, to stay far away.”
“My son has been going to the clinic for awhile now. I’ve never had a problem getting in touch with anyone until now. I have called 2 days in a row regarding my son’s upcoming appointment. No one has returned my call at all, to even remotely see what’s going on. At this point I am annoyed and frustrated and I am considering finding him another doctor. This is unacceptable!”
