“My experience with Dr. Woods has absolutely awful and if I could put zero stars I would. I have been toyed and manipulated by her. If you want someone who will actually listen to what you struggle with and care, you’re at the wrong place. I’ve been seeing Dr. Woods since I was a kid but until my young adulthood and adulthood I could tell very quickly that she didn’t actually listen or care to what I was saying. She prescribed me more medication than I can count and never actually got a correct diagnosis for me. I wish I could say she was trying her best but she truly wasn’t. I feel like she is in this profession for the money and not to actually help people. She is a smart woman and has knowledge of medication etc, but she doesn’t actually give her full attention to people and seems like she really doesn’t care what you have to say. She “listens” and then passes you along. She really doesn’t say anything back to you besides the questions she legally had to ask. Recently I’ve stumbled across a new psychiatrist who was able to give me a diagnosis and also make me feel more comfortable and understood than Dr. Woods has made me feel in probably the 10-11 years I was seeing her. There are better choices out there for your child, teen, adult or yourself. Feeling understood, listened, heard and having felt empathy from a doctor important and you won’t find that for yourself here.”

“I had Dr. Woods years ago with multiple psychs since then. I think it is safe to say that Dr. Woods is one of the worst psychs in the state of illinois. I grew up with extreme ADHD and a few OCD related tics. she prescribed me an antipsychotic that was used to treat neither of these conditions, and this medication ended up giving me tardive dyskinesia, meaning my tics only got worse and are lifelong now because I was on the medication for almost TEN YEARS. keep in mind, I was still a child at this point so doing my own research on things was out of the question. I just wanted to be better, but now I have another lifelong, painful condition because of a medication meant for bipolar disorder and autism, neither of which I have. i'd have sued if it wasn't long past the two year mark for suing. my psychs since have all agreed that the medication was unnecessary and a horrible decision. beyond this, when I switched ADHD medications on her orders, I began to experience more outbursts and got into trouble at school. when my family and I booked an appointment to bring this up, she brushed us off, wrote another prescription, and sent us on our way. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT SEE DR. DONNA WOODS.”

“Only cares about money. Not just her, but the practice itself as a whole. We will be seeking care elsewhere.”
