What patients say on Google
“Dr. Spiegel is hands down, the absolute worst Psychiatrist I have ever had the displeasure of meeting! I was a patient at Sentara Norfolk General under suicide watch and I had already met with a different psychiatrist who was looking to place me on in patient treatment at another facility. Dr. Spiegel waltz’s into my hospital room one day, very cocky acting and full of himself and behind him he brings in about 20 medical students! I immediately told him that he wasn’t bringing all of these people into my room because I have anxiety and it was extremely rude and uncomfortable of him to do that to me! All but maybe 3 students left. He spoke very fast without listening to a thing I had to say! He spent no time with me and was in the room less than 5 minutes. The next thing I know, a caseworker is discharging me per his orders on a suicide watch! This man doesn’t care one bit about mental health nor does he take it seriously! I would highly recommend not to see him!”
“Dr. Spiegel helped me thru a very difficult time with depression & anxiety. He always returns my calls even in his car on the way hone from work or to work the next day. He helped my pain go away.”
“Stop leaving reviews for his services as a psychiatrist if he hasn’t been yours! He has helped me for the past couple of years to get through some really difficult mental health issues and always treats me with kindness. He is a great psychiatrist who truly wants his patients to get better and I don’t know what I would do if I weren’t receiving his care. He goes above and beyond what is necessary and is extremely knowledgeable.”
“Just based on his attitude and the way he has carried himself for the defense and prosecution, he seems unstable. He actually makes me anxious in the way he speaks. Sorry but this is a great way to see how a doctor would handle himself with you. Imagine disagreeing or just asking questions, how he doesn’t seem like someone with empathy and patience as a doctor.”
