What patients say on Google
“SUD treatment program is terrible. Detox side of the facility is setup like a mix between a hospital and jail. This is a lock down facility. Rooms are completely bare, all fixtures and beds must be leftover from when this facility was a juvenile detention center. TVs are even encased in plexiglass shells. Rooms do not even have their own showers, you have to ask to use one of the two showers shared by the entire detox wing. Room doors are not allowed to be shut. All other doors are locked and can only be unlocked and entered with staff supervision, even though the patients are required to wear tracking bracelets. Small outdoor patio for scheduled supervised smoke breaks is caged in. Laundry room is locked down. There is one small commons area/room that the patients spend most of the day sitting in for 'group' sessions. The food was terrible; powdered eggs every morning, fried cafeteria food every lunch and dinner. We were escorted to and from the cafeteria room through multiple sets of locks doors and only given 15 minutes to get our food and eat. The 'Gym' was a half basketball court on carpeted floors. The 'workout room' consisted of 2 treadmills, 2 ellipticals, and 2 stationary bikes. Red light therapy was broke. The only time we got out of the facility was when they didn't have enough trained staff to facilitate our normally scheduled group meetings. Terribly mismanaged and undertrained staff. Most days the patients would have to tell the staff what the daily schedule is. The daily group sessions(most important part of any rehab) consisted of staff reading off of worksheets, google AI searches, YouTube, and finished with a 'what have you learned', or 'takeaway' question that must be answered for group participation credit and insurance billing purposes. Case management did nothing. Therapists were out of touch when it came to substance abuse. Operations department would tell the patients they were lucky to get cigarettes and came in and took patients toiletries out of their rooms in the middle of the night with no explanation at all. Patients were not given any information on how long they would be staying in the program; Could be 10 days or 60 days, patients would not find out until a few days before discharging. The only reason this place (Connersville, IN Location) gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because a handful of BHT and nurse staff go above and beyond (mostly those that are in recovery themselves).”
“I recently had the pleasure of visiting Crossroads Healing Center, and I can't speak highly enough about my experience there. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and cared for by the compassionate staff. The center offers a wide range of holistic services that truly cater to one's overall well-being. What impressed me most was how well they communicate with their patients. Every step of my healing process was accompanied by clear and empathetic communication, making patients feel both supported and understood. Crossroads Healing Center truly excels in creating a nurturing environment for recovery, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a place where both physical and mental health are prioritized.”
“I just called a few minutes ago to speak to someone because I've been struggling for the past few days with my mental health and the phone just rang and rang. It said 24 hour service but I thought that with it being Father's Day weekend that they might not be opened and hung up. A few minutes later I get a return call saying that they were sorry that they missed my call, when at that time I just said, " It doesn't matter". I guess they were too busy to take a moment to listen to someone struggling. Why does it matter? That's how a lot of Connersville, so-called Christians and our wonderful police department are anyways. No one truly takes time to care anymore. Thanks.”
“Crossroads Healing Center played a vital part in my recovery journey. Having been addicted to opiates of all kinds for the better part of two decades, going through unassisted withdrawal was not only terrifying but potentially deadly in my case. I was met with compassionate care from intake to discharge from techs, nurses, and therapists. What I learned in small groups laid a solid foundation for the work I have continued since my time there. My stay was brief, only ten days, but I will carry the tools I was equipped with for the rest of my life. The detox program was (and is) new for the facility and, as a result, there were some miscommunications regarding medication and availability of one-on-one sessions with my assigned therapist. However, I have full confidence that these things will be addressed and smoothed out as time progresses. Any questions or concerns I had were handled with respect; I was never made to feel like an inconvenience or like my questions were unnecessary. Thank you, Crossroads, for the role you've played in my recovery. I feel like I have my life back!”
