What patients say on Google

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Crossroads Counseling. From the moment families walked through their doors, they are met with professionalism, warmth, and genuine care. The therapists here are not only highly skilled and knowledgeable, but they are also truly empathetic and dedicated to the well-being of every client. Crossroads Counseling stands out because of their commitment to evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches. They meet families where they are, honoring cultural humility and treating every individual with dignity and respect. Their strengths-based interventions and focus on empowerment helps teens feel seen and supported during a very difficult time. I have been especially impressed with how seamlessly they integrate home, school, and community resources to provide comprehensive, quality treatment. Crossroads understands that emotional and social challenges don’t happen in isolation—they take the time to collaborate and create a network of support. The Morning Adolescent Day Treatment program and their outpatient mental health therapists have been life-changing for families. The therapists have a remarkable ability to connect with adolescents, earning their trust and helping them navigate the challenges of growing up. Thanks to their guidance, teens have developed healthier coping skills and a renewed sense of confidence. Crossroads Counseling is an incredible asset to our community, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to any family seeking compassionate, high-quality mental health care.”

“Crossroads has helped me so unbelievably much, anyone who knows me knows I live and breathe therapy. I hated therapy until I found my therapist and how helpful it can really be. I started in the Day Treatment and was there for many months, it was super helpful to have daily support when I was at my lowest. Then I got my own therapist once I discharged from day treatment and now I am coming up on two years with my current therapist. I will always do therapy through Crossroads. They offer therapy for your specific needs and desires, it’s very goal oriented and I never leave a session without a plan on how to cope with certain struggles. There are so many groups they offer as well. Highly Recommended.”

“Crossroads has meant so much to me and my recovery from mental illness. I started there a few years ago in the day treatment group program which lasted about three months, then started working one on one with an amazing therapist after that. I’m not even sure I would be around to leave a good review if it weren’t for the staff and other patients in group, leaving this review truly feels like the least I can do to give thanks to these people. I deeply disliked therapy and thought it was a waste of time before I was referred here, and my whole outlook on therapy changed. I’m moving out of state soon but whenever I’m back I will be checking in with my wonderful therapist, who has gotten me out of so many tight spots with myself.”

“I have been out of Crossroads for over two years and am now fully recovered. However, the repercussions of the care I received there have continued to weigh on me throughout my journey. The staff here is more like a clique than a treatment team, and there is a dangerous culture of enabling one another to give suboptimal care. It brings me particular concern that upon hearing patients report that they do not feel safe and need inpatient care, they repeatedly ignore the patient’s concerns and convince them that they do not need higher levels of care. I was frequently told that my intense suicidal ideation was “just a fantasy” and that I wouldn’t ever actually do anything. This is DANGEROUS. When your clients are severely mentally ill and tell you they do not feel safe at home, it is absolutely not in keeping with the Hippocratic oath to deny them access to the care they need. This can and will kill people, and the funeral I attended for my friend I met at Crossroads proves it. I truly believe that if they had gotten care from a different facility, they would be here today. Additionally, I was frequently invalidated and insulted while trying to have constructive conversations with the staff, one going so far as to tell me IN FRONT OF OTHER STAFF that me talking about the physical symptoms I was going through due to my severe anorexia was akin to “shoving a pencil up your nose and then complaining about it.” They are NOT trained to handle eating disorders, and frankly, I would not trust them with any mental illness beyond mild anxiety. I would like to hope they have improved since my experience, but reports from friends as recent as last month confirm that they have not changed. I urge you to try Edelweiss Behavioral Health if you have an eating disorder, or Rogers outpatient if not. Neither program is perfect, but I have at least gotten something positive from both. The only things I have gotten from Crossroads are miserable memories and trauma from the death of a fellow patient that they failed.”
