What patients say on Google
“What an amazing team. I am so grateful to have found them, the level of care is of the utmost quality. True professionals that make you feel comfortable, heard and that explain how the brain works. Thank you Melissa and Keith Robin.”
“I’ve had a wonderful experience with Crescent City Psychiatric. Dr. Timothy Gioe is incredibly accommodating, understanding, and easy to talk to. He takes the time to really listen and makes sure you feel comfortable throughout the entire process. It’s clear that he truly cares about his patients and their well-being. The staff is also friendly and professional, and scheduling appointments has always been smooth. I highly recommend Dr. Gioe and Crescent City Psychiatric to anyone looking for compassionate, thoughtful mental health care.”
“Had a terrible experience getting evaluated by Keith Robin several weeks ago. It felt as though he came to a premature conclusion and ignored anything that did not support it. It felt like he was absolutely determined to diagnose me either with a disorder that I do not have (as other mental health providers concurred) or of being actively on drugs in his office (despite my BP/HR being near normal to my recollection, and nowhere near what the drugs he suspected me of being on would put it.) I felt as though Mr.Robin disregarded everything that did not support the initial conclusion he jumped to. It even felt at times that he was trying to fish and 'catch' me admitting to symptoms I did not have. As far as I could tell that was all the clinical judgement utilized, as the rest of the evaluation was him simply running down standard questions off of a diagnostic sheet. At the end of the session he even said himself that I fit all of those criteria, but still seemed very adamant about his contradictory conclusion none-the-less. That evaluation was my first interaction with mental health services as an adult, and my first attempt to finally get some life long issues addressed. It was such a poor experience for me that I cancelled all my plans for the day, laid in bed feeling hopeless, and slept. I feel very fortunate that I did not abandon professional help altogether, and had the resources available to seek other professional opinions. I've been debating posting this review for awhile. I absolutely understand why Mr. Robin initially came to the conclusion that he did; and I am sure he has a long history of successful treatment and happy patients. However, this is an incident that still kind of bothers me, and it could have resulted in a major personal set back had I abandoned seeking treatment. Thus it seems important to put my experience out there in the hopes that it can be beneficial.”
“I came across this practice when I was looking online for local, recommended psychiatric services that specialize in adult ADHD. I met with Dr. Keith Robin for my first appointment for a few weeks ago. We went through the various details of my medical and personal history, and Dr. Keith was very receptive and informative, and encouraged me to do my own research for my own benefit. He was patient as we went through the different options for medication, and assured me I could change my mind if my first choice wasn't right. I felt encouraged and confident and relieved by the time I left. Dr. Keith is awesome, way better than my past psychiatric doctors, and made me feel comfortable with my choice. I'm grateful I decided to go with my gut and go to Crescent City Psychiatric.”
