What patients say on Google

“Just started going back to therapy a few months ago. I’ve had a really debilitating injury that has added to the depression and anxiety I already deal with on a normal day to day basis. I also have a lot of past trauma that I’ve never worked through. Called and got scheduled with Sara and I would never be able to give this woman the praise she truly deserves! I’ve gone to therapy off & on throughout my young adult/adult life and I have NEVER connected to a therapist like I have with her. She truly listens, takes notes on what’s going on, gives me journaling prompts which allows me to process my emotions outside of therapy which we then discuss at our next session, and is a wonderful Christian lady which was extremely important to me! I’ve been able to open up to her and I truly feel like I’m finally able to deep dive into the root cause(s) of my emotional irregularities. I also found out that I have ADHD. This was always brushed off by other therapists when I had mentioned the suspicion. So I just feel truly validated by her but not in an enabling way. She calls me out when she sees something (which I am very appreciative of) but not in a mean or downgrading way. I can’t recommend her enough and they also offer telehealth as well!”

“Negative reviews often say more about the person writing the review. All reviews of Lesa have been five-star, except one. If you waste your time reading that review, ask yourself these questions: If a counselor is a Christian-based counselor, and I’m not a Christian, should I be seeing this therapist? Shouldn’t I go somewhere else, instead of demanding this therapist change to suit me? If I don’t like the content of the sessions, or feel short-changed in time, again, shouldn’t I change to someone else? Why would I continue to go to a therapist for years, only to complain when I was told the counselor felt they couldn’t help me anymore? I would think most would appreciate the counselor’s honesty and unwillingness to take advantage of the financial aspects of seeing a patient. Also, how do you fire a counselor that told you your sessions needed to end? Lastly, check the reviewer’s history of negative reviews. I know Lesa, she is very knowledgeable, highly-trained, thorough, helps you see the complete picture… even if it’s not what you want to see, goes above and beyond for her clients… even when she is dealing with health issues, suggests outside resources…if deemed they could be helpful, and sees her clients as more than income. If you base your opinion of Lesa’s services on the one negative post, you are the one who will be losing out.”

“I've never fired a counselor for being a terrible counselor because they wasted my session until Lesa. This is what happened after seeing Lesa Young for years. I thought it would happen a few times but it didn't. She would come late into sessions but wouldn't make it up at the end. She would push her personal religious belief which was soooooo UNPROFESSIONAL! like I'm glad you found Jesus what does that have to do with me, a non-Christian? Lesa would spend up to 5 min of my personal session to talk about her issues, I felt like I was the therapist and it was her session. She would make me uncomfortable talking about her personal issues about her, her family, her daughter, and past life. I felt like I was a burden not only because her unprofessional ways but because at one point she would say to me point blank "I can't help you anymore, I have nothing more to offer". That's like your a guest at a dinner and the host is like yawning and keeps talking about an early morning. I'm like ok, just say you don't want to treat me anymore! So once she made me feel like I was a burden and she wouldnt hold herself accountable for her mistakes ment that she was done even hiding her feelings about me. then she called me a liar about something she said to me and that was the last straw. Unprofessional, Jesus Agenda, inappropriate behavior, and lack of accountability.... it's what you will get if you hire her.”
