“Therapist dropped me with no warning because I had missed an appointment. Okay, I’ve missed a few, yes. But she would cancel on me for months at a time because of health concerns and being out of office. I still continued to stay because I liked her and was understanding. She knew what I was going through and just like that I’m dropped. No phone call, or sincere notice. I got dumped through text by the front desk lol. Anyone with abandonment issues would not receive this very nicely. Recently I thought okay, I’ll try a new therapist here and see if it’s better. I get here for my appointment and they tell me “you never responded so we didn’t book your appointment”. I showed them where I did in fact respond immediately to their message. “I’m sorry she’s with a client I’ll get back with you”. I think they realize they’re the only facility in Joplin taking in new clients so it kind of leaves us with no choice but to stay here and keep trying. Feels pretty cold for a therapist office.”
