What patients say on Google

“A Warning to Anyone Seeking Care Here: Profound Exploitation After paying an astronomical sum of $50,000, my experience with Cornerstone of Southern Maryland was traumatic. Instead of receiving the professional case management and trauma-informed care I paid for as a survivor of severe abuse, I was subjected to systemic greed, verbal abuse, and unprofessionalism by 50% of the staff. 1. Failure of Core Services: My assigned caseworkers refused to assist me with basic independent living goals. They failed to help me with money management to purchase an automobile, housing planning to live with my wife and children, scheduling necessary surgeries, or coordinating optical appointments. They also denied me support for my educational schooling and external therapy appointments. 2. Financial Dehumanization & Unstable Behavior: Staff explicitly told me that the sole purpose of my appointments was "to make them money", openly comparing their clinical work to being employed at a McDonald's drive thru. While ignoring my critical needs, staff flaunted their personal wealth in my face - boasting about new cars, upcoming weddings, and luxury vacations to Italy flying out of the Atlanta airport. 3. Coercion and Insurance Manipulation: When I was told staff had no individual time for me, I was blackmailed into attending a weekly group session strictly so the facility could fill their monthly insurance quotas. Furthermore, management actively tried to push unwanted drugs on me in a clear effort to diminish my independence and self-reliance. This healthcare organization's overwhelming personnel operates as a profit-driven entity that exploits vulnerable clients, while destroying their well-being. Do not trust them with your life.”
