“I give the staff there a five star review but as far as my diabetic needs go a 2 because they did not follow the instructions that I provided for my meal time insulin dosage goes provided by my medical doctor as well as the food there was not very diabetic friendly at snack time they didn't check my sugar or give me insulin or count the carbs at each meal. The staff there were very friendly and nice I had to sleep with my dentures in for the first three nights I was there which caused a sore to come up on the inside of my chin under my bottom lip high blood sugar will cause healing issues”
“was never admitted but my girlfriend was sent there twice in the span of a month, and both experiences were completely different. the first time she was there she got out after just over a week, i was able to call her once or twice every day and attended two sessions with her family. everything went well, though the day she got discharged was when my perspective changed regarding the therapist. ahem, Mr James. they made it seem like I was the problem for what my girlfriend was going through, and therapists shouldn’t be biased like that without knowing anything about our relationship. the second time she was admitted, that’s when everything changed. no contact with her, physically or over the phone, for her entire stay. they said there was a family only policy that never existed to begin with, and it was one of the most terrifying positions to be in. not only that but every time i tried to call to talk to my girlfriend they either hung up without any response, lied to my face saying she’s not accepting any phone calls, or was straight up rude to me. not only that but the therapist James refused to talk to me or be reasonable about anything regarding contact with my girlfriend. it was a forced decision, even though she’s an adult. my girlfriend did not have any say in who she wanted to call, and neither did i. for all the couples out there, if you want to be psychologically tortured by not being able to see or talk to your partner while they’re going through a mental crisis, i suggest sending them to this place. this was a horrible experience for my girlfriend throughout the past month as well, and i hope nobody else is sent here. save yourself the drive and focus on yourself. find a new and productive hobby that takes your mind off of things, most importantly love yourself in the process”
“Thanks to the staff at the crisis center, for your support during my stay there. You are all awesome and we're so supportive. The techs, nurses and therapists. Thank you for seeing me through. Thank you Mr. James. And "I will." I use this everyday now. Thank you sweet Regina. You helped me so much. Come to find out my serotonin level is almost non existent. Were working on getting it back where it needs to be. Even though no one wants to be in a psychiatric facility, I personally had the "best" care. I appreciate each and everyone of you. God bless you all. Sherrye Bowie”
“While being in that place, I wanted to kill my self more than I ever had (which is rarely). I know it’s state funded, but there’s some things they could change. Especially that night nurse’s attitude. The place was so dark as well. How am I supposed to fight off the darkness of my mental health while I’m actually living in the shadows with them in that place? Yes, I understand that the nation is experiencing a mental health epidemic and your appointments are weeks away. However, try your best to wait until the appointment. I know you’re going through a lot, but keep that mind busy with positive things before then. Unless you are severely thinking about yourself or others, just keep swimming. I believe in you. ”
