What patients say on Google
“Corewell Health behavioral health department is a revolving door of people coming in and out to make money for them. There is no real help just a system that holds you hostage with biweekly appointments in order to get the medications they swear you need to take . Communication is poor. They have very bad attitudes, especially the front desk staff. (Liz is the worst) This place is a disservices and needs to be shut down.”
“Beware of Cynthia Bailey, FNP! Look elsewhere if you're looking for a healthcare provider who truly cares about your well-being. Cynthia Bailey doesn't bother to address the root cause of your symptoms; instead, she'll take you off a medication that's helping, leading to costly and stressful trips to the ER. Thanks to Cynthia's incompetence, I spent a week bouncing back and forth to the ER with multiple tests and procedures with two overnight stays. These providers are responsible for your life and do not consider your long-term consequences. I still see doctors in the community trying to solve what Cynthia Bailey is responsible for. She won't listen to your concerns and admits she doesn't know how to help. Avoid this provider at all costs! Amanda, MA, that resides in this same office, is a snarky little piece of work deliberately trying to hinder improvement in your well-being. Get some caring people that will treat you like a person and respect what you have to say. It is your body, and you know it better than they do. Its also amazing how Spectrum or now Corewell Health can remove your previous reviews.”
“Don't entertain this place as an option if you actually want to be helped. I scheduled a virtual, new patient appointment with SHMG 3 weeks in advance at the beginning of July. The woman I spoke to on the phone told me they would send over an access link via MyChart some time before the appointment. Prior to this I had contacted them a few times for referral information and stuff like that, but after my appointment was scheduled I didn't call again. On the day of my appointment I realized I hadn't received the MyChart link, so I decided to call. Someone answers, Victor, and I tell him I haven't received the link to my appointment yet and I ask if he could send it over. He tells me my appointment isn't in the schedule and that there's a note saying it was cancelled by the patient. I tell him that's odd because I never called to cancel, the last time I called was to set up the appointment. I had no reason to cancel; I've been struggling with severe depression and bi polar mood swings for a while and I was excited to finally be getting some help and some answers. Victor places me on hold to ask the person who wrote the note for more detail. After about 10min on hold, he comes back and tells me that a neurology department called SHMG and told them that I called this neurology department and asked them to call SHMG to cancel my appointment for me. Confused? Yeah, me too. I told Victor that I didn't contact any neurology department and that I didn't cancel this appointment. He apologized and said he could reschedule my appointment but it would be at least another month before they could get me in. ANOTHER MONTH?! For something that wasn't even my fault! Why are you taking calls from random neurology departments to cancel patient appointments, anyway? Shouldn't you only cancel if you hear from the patient directly? I guess that's not how they operate. So, now I am back at square one and I've lost over a month of my time going back and forth with this place. The only reason they're getting 1 star and not 0 is because Google requires at least one star, and because Victor was actually very sincere and apologetic about everything; definitely the nicest and most competent person I spoke to there. I can't speak to the quality of their psychiatrists since I didn't actually get to meet with one, but I would still advise that you don't waste your time and that you go somewhere else.”
“Terrible service. I did an intake and they won’t even see me without a referral and the intake lady was very rude to me with no reason! I would highly recommend going elsewhere for psychiatry. They denied me services even though they take my insurance and everything. All the intake lady kept saying was “we don’t typically see patients like you” all because I’m autistic and adhd”
