“I experienced the previous nurse practitioner mentioned in several reviews and also the latest one that has just replaced her. My experience with both was bad. Neither did anything to establish a sense of trust or faith in their judgement, nor a justification for their choice of prescriptions. There was a very brief 10 minute rundown of the same questions answered in the questionnaire, then straight to "I'm prescribing you xyz." I felt unheard, and felt they exercised no real judgement, simply going off numerical values on the form without even asking "why are you here?" or "how is your mental health affecting your life?". The prescriptions offered felt inappropriate and unaligned with what I was actually feeling, but we never took the time to actually hear my perspective on it. With both nurses, I declined their services - I'm not going to take mental health meds that I have no faith in. To be honest, the practice just feels like a straightforward pill mil to restock ADHD meds with as little hassle as possible. If that's what you need, have at it, but I wouldn't recommend them unless you already know exactly what you need from talking to a real doctor at a different practice.”

“The nurses and receptionists are very nice and are usually quick to answer. Dr. Almazar can be a bit difficult to talk to, but then again I have issues with socializing. He's very straight to the point and blunt, which I need in a doctor. Though transferring files from the last psychiatrist was a pain, I still enjoy going there for appointments. They usually answer their calls fairly quick too.”
