How likely are you to recommend Compass Behavioral Center of Lafayette?
What patients say on Google
“Amanda was so nice until I entered the locked unit. Then she treated me as I was just a disposable object. Thomas's favorite line is " oh I no nothing about that" any time you asked him a question. There was a tech that didn't know how to put a blood pressure cuff on correctly even with the direction and diagram on the cuff. It's like blood pressure for dummies and he still couldn't get it right. Tells you the type of people they hire. No group during the day on the weekend. You go in to get help and this is what happens. someones BP was 123/103 and was told by said tech that was good. If you want help this is not the place to go.”
“This place is the best place I've ever been for inpatient mental health treatment. I surely did NOT want to have to be there, however, ALL of the nurses, and staff made my stay much easier by being caring, compassionate, understanding, while also being firm and fair to their rules and regulations. Also, the food was above adequate and I was extremely well fed and taken care of in that respect as well.”
“This place is worst of worst go get help. My daughter there for suicide intent. While there stop taking her meds she check in on Sunday morning by Wednesday she sign paper be discharged next day. Telling her okay not take meds if she dont want too. wow. So for about 5 days you just let be off meds and say she find go back home .This is what we started to get now people there for paycheck not there to really help mental health. Saying all this because what if she didn't have family look out for her this would not end good .But its okay at end day I did find place give her help she need . This place get score 0”
“If I could give this place minus zero stars I would .My 18 year old son was recently diagnosed with mental illness and stayed at this facility for 15 days. I spoke to my son almost daily and realized that he was not improving in his thought process. I spoke to the social worker/ therapist? at least once a day, he would sing praise for the Doctor but there was no evidence in the care of my son that she was doing anything. I have worked in mental health and do know that it can take time and trial and error for a patient to improve with medications, but there has been no improvement whatsoever.”
