How likely are you to recommend Compass Behavioral Center of Houma?
What patients say on Google
“As a parent, trusting a facility with your child’s mental health is incredibly important. Sadly, this place did not provide the level of care and support my son needed. It seemed like they were more concerned with sending him out than making sure he was actually stable and ready. He was not well, and the idea of releasing him in that condition was very concerning. I would not recommend this facility to anyone looking for genuine mental health care.”
“staff were very nice i didn’t see a one on one counselor, however there was group and i saw the doctor and physician assistant throughout my stay. food was pretty good ms loretta makes some good breakfast burritos. showers actually have hot water the rooms have bathrooms, you will most likely have a roommate here. multiple smoke breaks and farley clean. only complaint is the area for outside is so small”
“This is my honest opinion. I stayed here for a couple of days due to deep depression. 1. The staff was kind however they would talk about there patients behind there back. 2. The beds were hard and pillows and blankets lacked good quality. You will have a roommate if you visit this facility. 3. Food was good in taste and it was enough to make you full. 4. The group sessions had good topics discussed in them. However I wish there was a lot more one on one time with counselors. 5. The facility showed age but however kept clean and maintained. 6. Being discharged was fairly easily and didn’t take that long. 7. You are allowed to get multiple smoke breaks throughout the day.”
“I only gave 1 star because I had to in order to post a review. My husband is a patient there. He was in this hospital 4 years ago. Back then, it was top notch. Now, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! Dr. Dawes, the psychiatrist, has a 2.9 rating. Not 1 single person has reached out to me to discuss my husband's progress. That wasn't the case 4 years ago. The techs are rude and the charge nurse thinks she's God. All they do is shove the patients pills and show no concern about what happens at home. My husband is bipolar. They don't inquire what he does at home. They just take the word of an unstable patient who is totally confused. I recommend no one to use this facility for mental health care!”
