What patients say on Google
“I have experienced much insight and anxiety relief as a result. My Therapist has been such an asset in this phase of my life. Thanks Lynne!”
“My in-person therapy experience (pre-COVID-19) with a particular female practitioner in this group was short-lived due to the fact that she cancelled on me multiple times and then scolded me later on when I once cancelled an appointment due to car issues, and would insert her personal experience into the sessions. I felt that her approach was not empathetic enough for my personal needs, though maybe others respond better to a cooler "this happens to everyone, get over it," kind of style. The therapy I currently receive is exponentially different - a young female practitioner who is clearly trained, very sympathetic and validating, and does not insert her personal narratives into the session - and is exactly the level of professionalism I appreciate for effective therapy.”
“I have been seeing Karen Woodhouse (MSW, ACSW, LCSW) for a year now. The progress I have made in my sessions is a testament to her skill, knowledge, and expertise. Whether you are doing EMDR or talk therapy - Karen makes you feel safe, seen, and supported. I cannot recommend her enough as a counselor.”
“Disappointed to write this, but my experience with this clinic was just that — disappointing. I called to schedule an appointment and they only had availability a month later, so I scheduled an appointment a month in advance and provided my insurance information — which I was told was accepted. Flash forward a month later to the day of my appointment, and I receive a call ONE HOUR before my appointment starts and I'm told they do not accept my insurance, but I can pay $200 out of pocket for the appointment. The person who called me said that I was supposed to be told that they do not check the insurance until the day of, but I was never informed of this, otherwise I would have sought clarification as to whether my insurance would indeed cover the appointment or not. This is unprofessional and extremely unfair to people who are seeking mental health treatment, many of whom could have spent the time to search for other providers and many of whom cannot unexpectedly pay $200 for an appointment that they thought would be covered. I would highly suggest looking for a different clinic that does not wait until an hour before your appointment to double check your insurance policy.”
