What patients say on Google

“Same experience as everyone else. I waited over 6 months for an appt. When i arrived it seemed like I should use an entrance away from urgent care and construction. By the time I found the appropriate suite I was 7 minutes late and told they would have to reschedule me because they didn't have time. That would've been 4+ months. I can understand thdm wanting to stay on schedule but I cannot fathom how 7 minutes crushes a new patient appt shouldn't you be a little more understanding especially with a new patient trying to navigate their facility. I will take my gym needs elsewhere do disappointing when you've waited, shifted work demands and used PTO all for nothing over 7 mins. Please just give a new patient a stern talking to bit be willing to be flexible if it within a reasonable time”

“Latham Medical Group (Community Care) has been my provider for years and although my original doctors both relocated (happened to me twice in 15 years!), I’m still happy with the practice. I recommend Christine Normile if you’re looking for a thorough appointment and someone who listens, advises all kinds of recommendations and treats the whole person. Their new offices at Wellness Way in Latham are beautiful. PLENTY of parking and reception seating. They have a great network for other referrals like mammograms at ImageCare which is where I am today. Everyone is pleasant on a very early and otherwise dreary Monday morning. I arrived early here to my appointment and they’ll see me early! 🙏🏽”

“I scheduled a new-patient appointment at Community Care because I am 75 years old and looking for a primary care physician who listens, communicates clearly, and treats older patients with respect. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite. The physician rushed through the appointment, appeared disengaged, and behaved in a manner that felt unprofessional and dismissive. I did not feel heard, I did not feel taken seriously, and I left with unanswered questions. At no point did the visit feel patient-centered or appropriate for someone seeking long-term primary care. After the appointment, I contacted Community Care in Latham to request a different provider and explained my concerns calmly and respectfully. I was told, without discussion or resolution, that I should “find a new practice.” That response was shocking and deeply disappointing. Patients should not be dismissed simply for asking for a provider who is a better fit — especially older patients advocating for their own care. I would not recommend this practice to anyone seeking thoughtful, respectful, or compassionate primary care.”

“I never really write reviews, but ok my wonderful doctor whom I said since childhood retired so she said to go see a new doctor. I made appointment and had it scheduled I was working 6 days a week and doubles they canceled the appt same day and said I could do virtual appt gave me a whole day range . They closed office and never called me kept home and phone on my day off where I had so much to do . Then he calls after hours and range receptionist didn't care that they closed and it was after hours doctor was very all over the place distracted and even wrote down wrong info I later found out. Ok now I see nurse practitioner she was cool nice . I explained before blood work I had just ate a protein bar and I got flagged for pre diabetes (I don't have it) but ok also I explained how nervous I was for mammogram she even explained how they have re construction surgeon there . I found that to be quite weird since a good friend is going through lateral displacement in implants due to a mammogram (not from this practice) . But ok whatever I guess. Then I get sent to hematologist due to anemia and high platelets and trying to deal with ultrasound over mammogram which ordering an ultrasound or even having her write to my insurance wasn't an option. I found my old retired surgeon and he wrote a letter stating I won't due mammo and that a partial and ultrasound is better than nothing ! And how come this doc or nurse isn't even helping or acknowledging my concerns? and saying we have reconstructive people here not exactly what I want to hear but ok . The hematologist is talking drastic measures saying cereal has iron in it ok yes but to absorb the iron I just learned not to take it with milk so maybe explain what foods go and not go together . I think I want to find a whole new community that will help address my concerns and everything . Also I am paying 100s of dollars every time they draw blood also going monthly when it was take like 3 months to see a difference in red blood cells . Seems a little off to me.”
