How likely are you to recommend Comal County Mental Health Center?
What patients say on Google
“Went here for SEVERAL years, never once had a consistant dr, everyone gives me different opinions about my diagnosis, they havent checked my vitals in over 2 years. Theyre supposed to check my vitals every appointment. These people NEVER answer the phone and my counselor/care cordinator is always being changed and or canceling my appointments. I havent had an actual decent convo with any doctor in that facility in years. Find somewhere better if you can!”
“DO NOT CALL OR TRUST THESE PEOPLE IF YOU ARE UPSET! They immediately transferred me to River City Advocacy, who sent Police to my home without telling me and had me locked up at the slightest inclination of being unstable. ZERO STARS GIVEN!”
“I had an emergency today and they never got back to me. I called over 5 times. They just kept saying they were in clinic and would relay the message to the nurses and doctors. My son could have snapped and still may. Schizophrenics should not be off their meds for any amount of time. So sad.”
“I am writing this review regarding my son's recent experience at the mental health clinic under the care of nurse practitioner Linu Mathew. My son has been a patient at the clinic for five years, and we have had a generally satisfactory experience until Nurse Anna's departure and Linu Mathews taking over. After a brief 15-minute video call with my son and me on March 10, 2025, it became clear that Linu Mathew did not adequately address our concerns or remotely even cared to provide necessary support for my son's continous care. She is heartless and fake. As his primary caregiver for over five years, I have seen firsthand the challenges my son faces with his mental health. Previous attempts at independent living have led to severe consequences, and I have been working tirelessly to ensure he receives the care and resources he needs. Despite providing documentation and support letters from the community, we have been met with dismissive attitudes and a lack of empathy from his my sons primary needs.I expressed my concerns to the clinic director, Ms. Jersamy, she did try to help after speaking with my son. however, with the last paper my son needed in order to move from Comal County, I submitted my concerns about Linu in email; yet three weeks later, I have received no response. It is disheartening to see a lack of understanding and professionalism in handling my son's case. Amber MA nurse that had giving my son his meds every month the way you spoke to me in front my son March 2025 yes ma'am your true colors shined through and I will never look at you the same. I have taken steps to report Nurse Linu Mathew to the nursing board and have reached out to various resources for support. As a dedicated mother and caregiver, I am committed to advocating for my son's well-being and ensuring he receives the necessary care and resources. needed so he can live a safer lifestyle and I can move on and enjoy my life. One paper is all she had to fill out, and supportive facts are in his medical records. When the Power of the Pen- is in the wrong hands.it can destroy people lives forever. I am sharing my experiences on this public review to highlight the importance of compassionate and effective care for individuals like my son needs. You guys have a degree lesson but as for me I have life lessons..Linu Mathew is a not fair person and she does not need to be working with certain groups of people that may bother how she feels and allows her to make stereotypical decisions. I am a Mad Mom for my son's mental health. This is my truth. Thanks for your time. God will fix it. Trust that.”
