“Made the mistake of keeping this facility on my safety plan after I was admitted about a year ago in about June. Was discharged from this facility about three weeks ago at this point . This facility is all looks and appearances , the actual details and treatment are so subpar that 7 days felt like a whole month and I’ve been in facilities for months at a time ! Not worth your time unless you want to be worse off mentally . I mentally clocked out about halfway through my stay because the treatment was that bad . Firstly , the treatment team . If you are admitted here with meds on you , you will NOT be given them ! I have major depression , which is interestingly the diagnosis they gave me as well . But seemingly the best course of action was to take me off my Auvelity for a week ! So they inadvertently were making my depression worse ! They will try and pressure you into changing your meds as well ! Don’t let them marking you as “ refusing “ meds prevent you from being scrutinizing with your medication . You know yourself best , especially if you’ve been in treatment in the past . Speaking of past facilities , I’m autistic and in a guardianship with my mother for my safety . Didn’t change their utter lack of communication or collaboration with family or friends at all ! Which has never been an issue in the past . I can understand not receiving the paperwork , or the more likely event that it wasn’t given to the unit’s staff / it was lost . But that isn’t my fault or my mother’s . She has been attempting to receive my medical records for my current med management . She has gotten no response until contacting the owner if I remember correctly , what a basic premise made difficult by severe mismanagement LOL . Oh also I HEAVILY advise you avoid this place if you’re even slightly on the spectrum ! when I was in their care they had a poor woman who was at a much younger mental age than me , and in my perspective the team completely ignored her and misunderstood her . Even went to seclusion once , which I empathize with because they wouldn’t send her back to her group home ! I will note that patients AND staff don’t help with this alienation either . Prepare to feel like a burden during your treatment despite this being THEIR job . I get disliking aspects of it , but night shift LOVES to gossip about their patients and families ! Despite knowing that the patients doors will be cracked at night . I should also note that depending on your state whether on admission or as you progress through “ treatment “ ( what they do barely fits the definition ) be prepared for highschool esque treatment from the patients ! There was a handful of people that were still sweet and understanding to me , despite my depression kicking in . But is it really appropriate to allow patients to gossip about others when they’re struggling ? For example : there was a man around my age saying I was “ so depressed “ because “ I got caught masturbating in my room . “ Which wasn’t the case at all LMAO . But hey , if they let staff do it I’m not surprised patients aren’t discouraged from doing it as well . Do not admit yourself here , allow it on your safety plan , or allow an ER to send you here ! 💔💔”
“My significant other is a patient in your care and she is getting disrespected by staff. There care is not medically up to par and the thought of both men and woman in the same unit. Where is the safety concerns and who is responsible if something was to happen if someone got hurt or sexually abused this is an outrage and the men and woman should be separated to ensure the safety of your patients. It goes as far as the men can see the woman in the shower and in there rooms this is totally unacceptable and my significant other does not feel safe in your staffs care as they do not meet the needed requirements of patients and they do not call back if left with an important message. I will never recommend anyone to your facility for care. Iam disgusted that you people take advantage of people in need of care and there is no compassion or care of the individuals they are looked at as a pay check and that is sicking and upsetting. Your facility needs to be held accountable for there lack of empathy towards good people who need the help and are reaching out to be treated like dogs at a dog shelter. Your management needs to be restructered and empathetic to each patients needs this is a reflection on your company and your self respect for others.”
“I’m still haunted by the way this place treated me last year. I came in after SA for an out patient consultation, but instead got manipulated and tricked into staying in-patient. I had told my caseworker details of the trauma that had happened to me to have me considering out patient treatment which he had added to the notes of my chart. After realizing this place was truly just a money scam prison experiment I requested my medical charts. I wanted my chart so that I could compare the documents inside to my real experience, mainly to see if they had actually “pink slipped” me as they kept saying they did but would never show proof, and to see if they were falsifying documents saying I had seen an actual doctor or psychiatrist for more than 5 mins or even at all. I requested this of my caseworker, Gary, who actually made me feel insane when he suggested that maybe I shouldn’t get my medical records because then my partner would see all of the details of the SA experience that I had described to him. This place gave me a cocktail of drugs and pulled me off of my actually prescribed meds to which it resulted in me being barely able to be a person let alone critically think or advocate well for myself. I’m still trying to recover from the trauma this place caused me on top of the recent SA. This place sucked so bad. I never did get my medical records. I hope the workers read this and I hope you feel shame and see the scam and your involvement for what it is. To everyone else, if you did not see a real doctor or psych or saw either for less than 10 mins, report your experience to your insurance company. Report any lying and manipulation as well. You only have a brief window of time after you’re released so please look into your company’s policy. To the bot that will reply to this, I hope you get what you deserve”
“So this was my very first mental hospital stay, was in a total of 6 1/2 days, got out two days ago, so I'm probably pretty biased with my review but I will just say as some who is extremely mentally ill and had a psychotic break a few weeks ago, the structure and strictness to a degree was very helpful to me in my fragile mental state, and the consistent meals, very good food actually. It's a pain in the ass for some of the other patients which I totally get. For me personally other than expected craziness from other patients, I personally really enjoyed my stay other than you know, being there. I will say yes they are strict they do not let you have a cigarette break just when ever you want and in fact it is not called that it's an outside break so there's no guarantee on cigarettes. You can't use your phone and TV's and shows are decided by the staff, so make sure if you can help yourself get all your ducks in a row like pet sitting and stuff like that, you can't worry about outside shit while you're in there or you'll be stuck in there longer than you'd hope. Just speaking from my own personal experience the staff were very nice and helpful. Yes there's a few hiccups with other staff members here and there but given the environment I do not blame them they are human too just like us. My only complaint is that I was so desperate to get out of there because of another patient I had missed my prescription and then the doctors also forgot to fill the prescription and right now I'm kind of going through a telephone game of trying to get it filled. Hopefully today I can get my meds filled but other than that this place set me straight lol! It is not prison but it's strict and structured. Genuinely changed my life for the better, just my experience 🙂”
