How likely are you to recommend Cognitive Behavior Institute?
What patients say on Google
“I can't even provide a review on the quality of therapy as I haven't seen one of their therapists. I can however provide a review based on their receptionist scheduling experience. I signed up for couples therapy a while ago, and requested an evening appointment. I was very clear that we were unable to commit to a regular appointment any earlier than 5PM. I also explicitly wanted an in person situation. The receptionist proceeded to schedule us for an appointment at 1pm for a virtual consultation. I told her that this would probably be okay as long as for the actual therapy, an appointment after 5pm was available and she said that was the case and we were alright. I cannot express to you how clear I made this requirement, I think I repeated myself like 4 times. I talked to my husband and the 1pm was not in the cards, he did not want to have an appointment at 1pm since he would have to do it during work. That was fine with me, so I called to cancel and asked if there was a way we could get a consultation later in the day and said that we could probably make a one time exception for a time after 3pm, but once again explicitly explained that I need regular appointments after 5pm. At this point, (the same receptionist) told me the provider I had an appointment for had no availability after 5 pm for regular therapy appointments and basically his only availability was at 1pm on Mondays. Then, my appointment wasn't even cancelled even though I asked to cancel it. I got several text messages during the days leading up to the appointment and I had to call AGAIN to cancel that. So needless to say, I'm on a wait-list for an evening appointment. At this point I don't even know the hours of this place - apparently they are open til 8, but the receptionist actually told me they close at 5. So I don't know. Obviously for something like couples therapy I can't be on a wait-list for 3 months in hopes for potentially getting a spot, so I went elsewhere. I got an appointment in the evening for the week of my call, and I'm very happy with the reception there.”
“i got here 15 minutes late because of traffic and road closures (which I can’t control no matter how early i leave). And they wouldn’t take me even though i waited 2 weeks for my appointment. Terrible experience would not recommend to my worst enemy… They also NEVER pick up the phone so good luck getting a human interaction at this place. They just want your money. they don’t care about you or your health. An intake and an evaluation later with this place and i STILL don’t have my medication. That’s 400 dollars I’ll never get back. save your money”
“If you don't agree with trying a particular medication they will discharge you entirely, despite your body rejecting it and take you off of what works. Brandon Ambrose in particular, interrupted a helping treatment when he picked up from someone who left to family. Poor quality of care, low ethical practices and need looked into as this type of approach can lead people into severe decline. Stay away from this office, the office staff are also hard to get a hold of only communicate by email and are very impersonal and rude - read the room of the population. Additionally the therapist connected with did not use structured CBT only talking with nodding.”
“I have seen Emilio Rizzo on again off again for many years and have nothing but the best things to say about him (5 stars doesn’t even come close). The onboarding process to get started was easy, Emilio navigated my mental health journey with grace and empathy, especially when I wasn’t giving that to myself, and I have had the most wonderful experience with CBI as a whole.”
